We have been dealing with severe eczema for 4 1/2 years with my son. It has gotten a little better, but if left untreated, it flares up again. Elidel worked, but it's safety is controversial. Some people say it's fine, but I try to stay away from it unless we are desperate. I hate using steroids, but have not found anything better. We tried ALL the lotions. We limit baths, but that is soooo hard when you have a sweaty 4yo who loves the bath. I do think that helps though. We have it controlled somewhat with every other day hydocortisone cream (generic from WalMart or Target) and Crisco. Yes, the fat you cook with. Our nurse told us about it and it has worked really well. His skin really does stay moist for a long time. We started twice a day with the Crisco, but are down to once a day. I am still waiting on an all natural cure. If you find something...please let me know! Good luck!
