Hi T.,
I can definitely relate to your morning sickness! I haven't been pregnant for 17 years (Thank God!) but both of my pregnancies were accompanied by severe nausea, and not just in the mornings, either.
An old bit of advice that we tried was to have a pack of saltine crackers by the bed. That way I could eat one or two before I got up. But if you do this, be sure to put them where you can reach them without raising your head, because if you have to move around a lot to get them you will get sick anyway.
Also, don't try to drink water first thing, and stay away from coffee. Both of these will probably make you sick. Instead, put a small cup or bottle of 7-up, Sprite, or Sierra Mist (or the off-brand, it works just as well) by your bed with your crackers. After you have eaten a few crackers, raise your head enough to keep from choking and sip some soda. The carbonation should actually settle your stomach and will help you not to get sick. After you have sipped a little soda, then you can try to get up. Sit up slowly, don't rush because leaping out of bad will put your stomach off kilter.
I hope that this helps and I also hope that your morning sickness stays in the morning. I had it all day, every day for the first six months of my pregnancies, and when the morning sickness stopped, I started going into premature labor. So I'm not a very good pregnant person. I'm glad that portion of my life is over, and now I am beginning to look forward to grandchildren!
Ask your dr about vitamin B- can't remember if it was B6 or B12, but it fixed me right up!
Hey T. I had my first child 3 years ago and I believe I had the worst case of morning sickness ever!!! The only things I could eat were pineapple, watermelon, and pickles everything else made it's way back up even water like you said. Well first I stopped taking my preggo vitamins in the morning and waited until right before I went to bed and that seemed to help alot, I also switched to drinking the "la croix" sparkling water (0 calories, carbs, sugar or sodium so it's good for you) and like 7up or ginger ale the bubbles settled my tummy. It gets better believe me and no matter how nasty it is throwing up actually is a good sign that your baby is doing well!
When I was pregnant with my first daughter i got dehydrated. That made me sick which i begun to blame on morning sickness. I couldnt drink anything including water. Make sure to call your doctor and they should be able to help you or give you something to take.
I was feeling your pain. The only thing that would work was Dentyne (spelling?) Ice gum. I had to buy the super pack!! I would get up first thing in the morning and chew it until I brushed my teeth. Then I got a new piece to chew for awhile. It was the only thing and I hate gum. It could be worth a try!!
Bland, starchy food will do the best job at calming your tummy. Before you even get out of bed in the morning, munch on a couple of saltines, and make sure you get a big serving of something starchy at every meal, and it will help a LOT. Very acidic or spicy food may aggravate morning sickness or give you heartburn, so if you notice a bad reaction to those foods try to stay away from them for a while.
crackers, it worked for me.
Hi there....I had it bad when I was pregnant. So sorry for you! The only thng that helped me in the morning, was to eat a small box of raisens before my feet hit the ground. At night, I would have an english muffin or something high in Carbs, with peanut better something high in protien..make sure you eat that in bed..then during the day, I wore a Sea Band..it helped, expecially when we were in the car or any moving vehicle. Also drink as much as you can, including water, milk, juice and broths..that will help as well.
Good Luck..hope it ends for you soon :>

Hello,
I am 6 months pregnant and I too have had morning sickness and still do some. Mine was so bad I had to take Zofran prescribed by my Dr. It is a miracle medicine. I would consider this if yours is bad.
Hope it all turns out well.
Hope it gets better... I was sick for 6 1/2 months with three of mine. Anyway, talk to you OGBYN I am sure they will have some suggestions... I took 1/2 of Unisome and that helped a bit!
Congrats and best of Luck!!!
