I was recently told I should try and sell my art work through this site.
Have you ever used it for anything? Sold anything on it? What was the process like? did you like it? If not, what didnt you like about it?
Also I am having trouble finding ideal price points for my art.
Here are some of the details on my work....I use colored Pencil...I try and use it to make it look as real as possible while keeping it still animated to some degree. a piece typically takes me about a week.....My longest running piece took me over a month(I wont be doing that in that size again for a while because it was time consuming). I use paper...and I can not afford at this time to sell them framed......What would be a reasonably Price for something like that? I am thinking the larger ones maybe $30 and the smaller ones $15. My husband says that is pretty low for Originals.
I have not yet sold any of my pieces. Mainly because I have no desire to part with any of them quite yet...But I see that I will have to for some extra income :)

Aim high! Your art is fantastic.
Mount them, frame them....price them accordingly (that will be an expense) to your time because time is valuable! These aren't Thomas Kinkaid crank-outs!
No less than $50-$100 each.
Way too cheap! This is not just your talent, but your time. Decide how much your time is worth, then how many hours it took to make the work of art. Add the cost of materials and you should have a good price. Do not undervalue your time!

Something a friend is learning is that it's not just the thing, but presentation. If you can display your art (maybe get a small easel for display purposes) and take really good pictures, you may get more interest than someone who lays it on the floor and takes an overhead shot. Write up an interesting description. TELL THEM that you were inspired by x or worked 30 hours on something. Watermark your photos. If you can't afford a frame, might you consider matting them? Make it optional for x additional price. Another artist friend does that with her stuff. Mailing a frame is just too expensive, but the matts look nice and allow her to use flat mailers.
It's hard to know what to sell things for because your time is worth something, too. Look around and give yourself a *fair* price. Don't ask for $300 but don't lowball yourself, either.
I havent sold anything. I make baby clothes but cringe thinking about another person examining my work.
A friend of mine makes funny superhero dolls out of felt. She started out low, and then later upped the price. She eventually priced them pretty high because she decided that it wasnt really worth her time to do them for any less - she didnt WANT to make felt superhero dolls all the time!
I think the prices you picked sound fine. If you are selling lots at that price, raise the price a little.
I would say that is way too low. You can get good quality scans at places like Office Max or Kinkos for a about $2. If they are 11x14 inches or smaller. Then you could sell prints for that lower amount and keep the originals.
Have you entered local art contests? I just did that recently and placed. It helps to get your work and name out there.

When you say a week, do you mean 40 hours?
I think the price points you are thinking of will sell great, but as an artist myself, you are giving it away! Your time is valuable you are valuable. My large pieces take 40 hours and I sell them for at least $1500 sometimes $2800.
I think you should visit a weekend art fair and look at artists that resemble your work to begin your pricing process. A lot of artist start too low, and its okay to see if there is even a market for your work. If it hurst to sell it, your selling too cheap. Also if your style is realistic and time-consuming you may want to look into selling prints as its a tough market to sell realism for its value in man-hours. Best of luck.
Also, weekend art fairs are a great way to see if your style is sellable and to witness feedback on your work.
I just started selling my diaper cakes on etsy, whoo hoo! My shop is BabyCakesbyMamaZita.
I have a FB friend who is a fine jewelry artist who also sells on etsy. She's VERY successful (her shop is called ShrunkenCatHeads.) She helped me a bit with general questions and advice as far as setting up the shop, photos, writing descriptions, setting policies, etc. The process is REALLY simple and easy to use, IMO. Even without my friend's advice I'm sure I could have done it all on my own, it's VERY user friendly.
Now, as far as your product and your price point, that does seem too low. But what you REALLY need to do is spend some time looking at artwork currently being sold on etsy that is similar to yours: similar materials, size and style. See what others are charging for their work and go from there. That's what I did with my diaper cakes. And since my shop is still new I priced my cakes a little on the lower end (I've sold two so far and have a custom order pending!) Also pay attention to the way other artists present their work, a clear high quality photo is very important.
