My 4 year old grand-daughter will need to be seen by an ophthalmologist. Do you know of a Dr. in the Irving area who accepts Aetna (Open Access). Thank you.

What can I do next?

I had a great optamologist when I lived in Irving ... he was near oconnor and 183 but I don't believe he is still around... I do have one that did great with my son in Duncanville, just off 20 on camp wisdom at duncanville road... next to Cretias Tea & Bakery Shop.

Hi C.,
I don't know about Irving, but I have a FABULOUS opthomologist in Arlington. His office is easy to find because it's right on the north side of I-20 @ Matlock Rd. in the USMD Hospital Office Building - 811 I-20 West, Suite 134, Arlington, Texas 76017. ###-###-####. His name is DAVID WILLINGHAM. He is an older man, very gentle with kids and VERY thorough. His office is equipped with children's play stuff in the waiting room. I took my 6 yr old to see him last month after her PC suggested she had poor vision. Dr. Willingham was great with her and found she has excellent vision in both eyes. I highly recommend him. Good luck.

You have gotten some great advice on eye doctors, so I thought I could help you with a place to get glasses if you little one needs them. When my son first got glasses I took him to Sears because I didn't know that there was a difference in children's glass then adults. A year later after my son had so many problems with his glasses not fitting right and being allergic to the nose pieces not to mention the warranty was not very good.I found this place in Fort Worth, Fifth Avenue Eyewear 1223 5th Ave ,For Worth, 76104, ###-###-#### that specializes in children glasses. I even paid less for his new glasses and the put the transation lens in his glasses and the warranty is great. The lady at the store is so nice I hope this helps Y.

I think you are just going to have to call and ask if someone takes your insurance. We are patients of Pediatric Eye Specialists in Arlington off Lamar. They are awesome!
