I am 37 and looking for a new facial cleansing system. I am wondering what other peope use and what types of results you have had. My skin is normal (i think) but I do still break out. I am really trying to take better care of my skin in hopes of fighting the ineitable aging process. I have used the full Arbone system and I liked it but I am wondering what else is out there that may be better. I have looked at everything from Laura Mercier, Elizabeth Grady, Clinique etc... but I dont want to invest $$$ until I have had some good suggestions and reiews.

What can I do next?

Mary Kay - they've removed all the perfumes I switched many years ago and my very sensitive skin likes it better than Clinque at half the price. Just saw old friends after many years and they could not stop talking about my skin and lack of aging.

You know, I have tried the pricey stuff too and didn't like it any better than Neutrogena. I especially like the Neutrogena Naturals line, very nice. My favorite is the night cream (or cream in a jar, at least I use it at night!).

Clinique. Their 3 Step is tried and true, developed by dermatologists in the late 60's...way before it was trendy. Go to your local counter and speak to an "Accredited Consultant" (this will be on their uniform). Have them set you up with the basic skincare. Three steps, three minutes, twice a day. You can get the smaller szes, all three pieces for under $50.

Dermatologist told us to use Cetaphil for washing the face. My kiddos are going through puberty and that's what they told us to use, so I thought I'd try it to because I do still have the occasional breakouts. Well, I really like it...

I've used Merle Norman moisturizers and toner for years and still like it to this day. I also recently got one of the Clarisonic facial cleaners (use it with the Cetaphil) and I can already tell a difference in my skin. In the beginning I broke out a little because it pulls all the "stuff" to the surface of the skin and then it went away. Now my skin is really soft and smooth.

I use Clinique everything. I've used it since I was about 11. I'm 50 and pass for mid 30's and have even been asked for my school I'd when at my daughters sr high school.

It sounds pricey but look at the big picture. I use the Repairwear series now. Yes, the jar of moisturizer is about $50 BUT I've just now replaced it . I last bought it in September ( that's less than $9 a month!) Same goes with laser focus, eye cream, etc. do the math.

I use the makeup as well and it lasts a long time.

Go to a counter to speak with a Clinique advisor.... Clinique employs their own people in some stores. When I am looking for any change, I go to Neimans or Nordstrom for the best info.

Also, it's not just the products you use. It is daily routine and habits. I was thankfully blessed with good genes but I have a faithful daily routine with facial cleansing twice a day, drink lots of water, exercise and use sunscreen.

Good luck! My 18 yr old does the same thing I do with routine and we both have flawless skin.

I am almost 37 and about 2 years ago I switched to Oil of Olay products. I mostly use there Regenerist line. I LOVE it. No more breakouts. Really nice smooth skin - it definately improved since I started using their products. I have even had co-workers compliment my skin and ask what I use. Highly recommend giving them a try - especially since they will not break the bank!

I got a Clarisonic for Christmas.
I was hesitant, but I do like it.
I have pretty good skin, and before this, just used Aveeno cleanser.

I love the old-fashioned, inexpensive, time-tested products. I love Noxema -- my skin feels awesome when I use it. Ponds moisturizer overnight, Oil of Olay with sunscreen during the day. I use Burt's Bees acne control products (facial scrub and spot treatment) and I love them -- they don't dry out my skin and they really help. And Sea Breeze toner. The Burt's Bees products are $10 each, and that's the most I spend on any one product.

I used to buy more expensive products. They were filled with chemicals and basically renamed versions of other products. My skin was really breaking out as I aged. But I had never had breakouts when I used Noxema and Sea Breeze as a teenager. So I decided to ditch the expensive stuff and go back to the basics. My skin is now as clear as when I was a teen and the tone is more even.

I have tried lots of different types and have found that Neutragena or generic Neurtragenia is best for me. I also wash once a week with lemon juice and honey. Mix a little together, use a cotton ball to apply, let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then rinse.

I use Shaklee and love it. Don't discount me because I am a Distributor. You can buy from someone else! I truly like the products and use the entire beauty care system. I've been told my skin glows.
