Rent a house with a pool on the beach in Hawaii. I cannot even stress how much fun we all have when we do this.
My father would like to take the whole family somewhere next Christmas. He originally proposed a cruise, however, a few family members get horribly seasick. I mentioned Atlantis, but my sister said it isn't really warm enough there in December (low 70's) and the pools aren't heated. Does anyone know of a family-friendly place? Primarily looking for a place with kid activities, but would like to keep the adults happy, too. Our kids range in age from 4-20. Any ideas? Thanks!
Edit: We're talking about going right after Christmas -- the week between Christmas and New Years. Also, forgot to mention that we're looking for something "all inclusive," or at least restaurants on site. Nobody wants to cook, clean up or even have to stay in the same house together! :)

Hawaii seems an obvious choice.
Sandals has several family oriented resorts that are all inclusive. We have not been but I have done some research and it looks like a great option for the age group you mention.
To bad about the cruises. Disney Cruises have a great way for adults and kids. Disney world is still a good choice. Down town disney has lots of night life and epcot has lots of adult stuff also.
Hi MC,
I can suggest what NOT to do.....
We spent this Christmas at Great Wolf Lodge...two nights and three days...just got back yesterday. My mother also wanted to take the entire family somewhere for Christmas, as opposed to my parents' home, and this was her idea. I did not like this experience for the following reasons.
1. I prefer traditional family get-togethers, especially for the holidays...everyone (16 people) crammed in someone's house making due with the limited space. I actually enjoy these times. Spending the holidays in a hotel was not the same and was borderline depressing. Even though Great Wolf Lodge creates an image that they have a "lodge" feel, it is still just a hotel (concerning the rooms).
2. The indoor waterpark was cold...84 degrees air temp and even colder in the water. The hot tub was more lukewarm than hot and offered little relief from the cold water of the pools.
3. Great Wolf Lodge was packed for Christmas weekend. The story time in the lobby had at least 150 people there...everyone bumping into everyone.
4. Mom reserved 3 hotel "suites" at Great Wolf Lodge. Two of the rooms were on the same floor, but opposite ends of the hotel, and the third room was located six floors above the others. The reservations were made during the summer, but for some reason they could not get us adjacent rooms. Our rooms being so far apart from each other was very inconvenient.
5. I could go on and on....bottom line is that it did not feel like Christmas at all.
Take care,
A.
We just got back from Hawaii and highly recommend it. It won't be all inclusive though.
I hear Disney is awesome at the holidays. It is awesome anytime. But it has something for everyone.
We just did Disney World in Florida and it was awesome!
What about Aruba? The weather is pretty much the same year round.
