I am planning on using Shuttyfly to make a photo book for my husband. It will have all pictures of my son and him. I think other photo website do photo books as well.
I received a really cool, personalized and thoughtful gift for Mother's Day and would like to do the same for Daddy! I thought you girls might have a cool gift idea that we could create or buy(!). My daughter is 26 months. Thanks!

Dear M. M,
We just made our father's day presents this weekend, because we have to mail them out. I went and bought fabric and cut it to fit into a picture frame. I then wrote happy father's day and then let the kids pait it with fabric paint and then we let it dry and then put it into the picture frame, it looked so adorable. I know that at wal mart they have where you can take a picture from your computer and then put it on this special paper and then transfer it to a tee shirt. My sister did that for grandparents day last year and then had them do fabric paints and made handprints of all eleven kids on a t-shirt for my parents. you can also google kaboose and it has art and craft ideas for all different holidays.

Not sure if you have a ceramic store in your neighborhood....I took my son last year when he was just 10 months and made a breakfast plate (small plate) with his hand print on it. I also had written on it "Happy 1st Father's day. Love, (my son)." The lady who owns it says, that BBQ platters, mugs or a aper weight for desk at work with the hand print(s) are also popular.
Think of something your husband really likes to do and you should be able to come up with a great gift. If he likes to golf, a golf outing. Likes baseball, tickets for the family to a Cubs game. If he like gardening, or yard work, maybe a tree or a bush he could plant and remember every time he looks at it. If he is more of a western guy, maybe a nice belt buckle. If he is more of a quite man, maybe a nice book. If he is a fix-it type of guy, think of a tool that he always has wanted to buy. Sometimes men just like a great dinner at home and a really special card, maybe a handmade card.

My husband likes gardening so we made a planter box with pictures of our daughter from birth to present age(4) we moshposhed it an put clear coat water proofing it and now he has a garden box for what ever he wants to put in it tools or seeds or plants also can get foam lettering and glue and clear coat it great for mothers day or any day as a just thinking of you gift!!!!
In addition to the photobook idea, what about a DVD of videos of your daughter? I'm looking into one for my dad -- we have some pretty funny videos of my son that we know he would love.
www.familyfun.com has some really cool ideas from the kids. You can also google kid father's day crafts and find some neat ideas. I took my two young boys (5 & 2) to a local paint your own pottery store and had them paint (younger one put his handprint on) a pencil holder for dad to put in his office at work. They have tons of ideas there. It can be pricey, but it's a wonderful idea.
This is one thing I plan on doing for my hubby:
-Buy a shadow box picture frame, or a scrapbook frame (i got a 12x12 from Michaels for $9.99)
-Buy 1 sheet of 12x12 scrapbook paper ($.50 at Michaels)
-I googled "daddy poems" and found one I liked, typed it in a fancier font & printed it in a smaller font in a centered position on a different colored paper.
-I cut out 2 pics of both of my kids
-My hubby likes to golf, so I bought golf decor from Michaels
-Bought a set of daddy stickers
-Set these up however you'd like on the scrapbook page, and there you have a collage of memories for daddy
I know it sounds like a lot, but it only took me about 15 minutes to put it all together & it is adorable!! I used double sided tape to mount everything.
You can go to michaels.com and they have tons of awesome hand-made gift ideas for fathers day. That's actually where I got this idea, so if you want to see how it can look, go to their website.
Good luck & have fun!!!
