Hello, I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and it seems that it is just getting worse. I am losing hope, and my rheumy just piles on the drugs. I have not talked to anyone else with this and am looking for any support I feel so alonw. I am 28 and I don't want to live like this for the rest of my life! I know we all have something and I am not unique, but any ideas would help! Thanks everyone, I feel like this place is full of great friends I only wish lived closer!

What can I do next?

Besides whatever you're doing medically, stay as active as you can. Exercise and move on with your life as much as you can. My daughter has this and became a doctor while dealing with it. Know it's not easy - pain and fatigue never are - but your mental attitude and how involved you are outside yourself and how much exercise you get definitely will help you.

I have fibro too. I would get a second opinion. Sometimes fibro is a catch-all when they can't find what's really wrong. Not saying that's the case, but if the meds just aren't working, it's worth getting a second opinion. As to the meds, it's a process of trial and error. For me, it's a special combination of meds, and if that is changed even a little, I'll have a flare. You might want to see a neurologist as well. My neurologist has been wonderful! Regular exercise helps, but it is hard to motivate yourself when your whole body aches! Also, a deep massage will help. The theory is that fibro leaves scar tissue, and the deep massage helps to break it up. Most insurance won't pay for it, but keep fighting for it! Make sure you go to a massage therapist, not just to a spa - big difference! I have had fibro since I was ~10, so if you have any more questions, feel free to message me! Hang in there!

Dear S. (and others who have been diagnosed with Fibromlyagia),

My heart breaks with you! But I truly have an answer ...

Experts agree that chronic disease is rooted in poor nutrition. Simple analogy ... you want your sports car to run well you put in good gas. Good nutrition is fuel for your body. Unfortunately, the SAD (Standard American Diet) is full of processed items and far from the way our bodies were designed to eat.

JuicePlus+ capsules, chewables. Have you heard of this? They are flat out fabulous and backed by EVIDENCE BASED RESEARCH (also supported by renowned Pediatrician Dr. William Sears and son Jim Sears of the popular show "The Doctors") that they improve the immune system.

Please check out my website www.vineripejuiceplus.com (a picture is worth a thousand words) or feel free to contact me for more info ... it would be my pleasure!

For better health,

C.
PS ... More great news is that you can get it FREE for your child (between 4 - 18 yrs) when you add JuicePlus+ whole food capsules to your diet! An authentic product from an authentic company that's economical too!

Also, try to manage your stress and daily workload so you don't get flares that stem from these triggers. They are difficult and hard to recover from.

Here is a support board also:
