i was wondeing if anyone knew of a nice park with a covered pavilion for my daughter's upcoming first birthday? Our home is very small to host even our closest family :( we live in the philadelphia/ manayunk area. any suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated :)

Idon't know if this is to far but there is a great park (forgot the name) on 73 (Church Rd.) A little off of Old York Rd. It has a pavillion and a grat playground so the kids can go wild.

We have seen birthday parties in Gorgas Park, off of Ridge Avenue by Hermitage. They have a Gazebo and a very nice tot lot right nearby. Or try Smith Playground in Fairmount Park, which is also lovely.
Might want to look at Smith Playground in Fairmount Park. Just remodeled grounds with all new play equipment and outdoor accomadations for grill and parties. Also has a playhouse for children under five with several theme rooms. Parties are scheduled there for a very reasonable fee.
Plymouth Meeting Community Center has a great park. It has
covered areas, bathrooms, and a good park too!
