My daughter has just started walking and I need a pair of good shoes for her growing feet. Normally I keep her in Robeez but she needs something with a more protective sole for when we are out. I like Stride Rite but I was wondering if there were other reputable brands out there.

I put my daughter in StrideRite, they have shoes in stages, starting out walking and then as they get older they have different stages. I go to the Striderite outlet in Anthem, and their shoes are reasonably priced.
Stride Rite, hands down, is my FAVE shoe store for my kiddos. Having to deal with two pairs of growing feet, it is more cost effeicient to go there as well. Have you been to the outlet store in Anthem? Still the same great shoes, smaller prices. I have an almost 7yr old and a he is growing like a weed! Fortunately, I only have to buy for him maybe twice a year now, but my daughter, 5yr old, is different. She wears leg braces with arch supports in her feet part so she cannot wear anything except Stride Rite. Try the anthem store outlet and you will have good results! God Bless!

I wouldn't go all out in buying shoes for your little one as her feet will continue to grow constantly. Meaning, don't spend a lot of money. Payless shoes have some great shoes for children. Always go a half size bigger to allow room for growth. I buy payless shoes for my son, and even sandles for the summer time and he does great in them. :-) Children are definitely a blessing and just watching them grow is breath taking. :-) G.
We got these really nice bendable show from nike. now i am not a nike fan by any means but they are amazing and they held up so good that we can now use them for our second child. we also got striderite sandals and those are really good shoes too.
