You can continue to do pretty much what you are used to doing. Later on the doctor will tell you if you need to cut back on something. Keeping fit is very important, because they don't call it "labor" for nothing.

Yes! Assuming you don't have any complications, studies have shown that working out actually benefits your growing baby! I have worked out successfully through three pregnancies. I am a runner and I continued to run. Just follow your bodies lead - if it feels like to much than it is. I didn't have much trouble until the last few weeks - then it got pretty tough and I was walking a lot more than running. With my third, I ran the day she was born (keep in mind it was more of a walk/jog). I think this helped my body with the delivery. All of my deliveries went great and were manageable. By the way, my third baby loved to be held in my arms as I walked on the treadmill after she was born - I think it made her feel like she was back in the womb. Good luck and congratulations!

I would talk to your doctor. But the general theory out there seems to be yes as long as you don't over do it. Generally low impact exercise is fine while pregnant as long as you're feeling okay. Don't push yourself and congratulations!!

If you have been working out, double check with your doctor - I'm sure you will be fine. I worked out my entire pregancy - up to about 3 days before my due date. I felt great because of it and I think that my labor was a lot easier as well. Congrats!

As long as you feel fine, I'd say go for it. You can actually work out through your whole pregnancy, it will actually make labor easier and shorten your recovery time if you stay in good shape.

Be prepared to lose your sense of balance once you start to get bigger, and you'll probably want to avoid very high-impact workouts. Once you outgrow your current routine, you can always switch to a workout geared to pregnant women. I recommend Lisa Hart's "Fit Mama" video. It has different variations on the same workout depending on which trimester you are in.

Well it really depends on how healthy you are for one also what type of workout you do I would ask your OB. It is better for you to stay active your labor will be some what easier on you. Also you will be able to maintain your weight staying active.

Yes, as long as your doctor says it's OK. It's usually not recommended to START working out in pregnancy, but if you have been working out prior to it, it's no problem. You don't want to do anything that puts you at risk of falling or collision, such as playing softball or bike riding (as you get bigger your balance does change). Anything in the water feels great, especially as you do get bigger. You also want to avoid lying flat on your back after the first trimester, as the growing baby puts pressure on certain important blood vessels in this position. There's lots of great DVDs out there for pregnancy, and walking is almost always a YES! Have fun and enjoy your pregnancy!
