Have you tried waiting until she goes to sleep and then trying to roll her to the other side? Maybe if you let her fall asleep on the side she favors then doing the switch she wont notice. It took awhile to get my daughter off her back to get her flat spot gone. Just dont expect immediate results, it took time for the flat spot to occur so it will take time for it to go away.

Flat spots such as that are caused by baby laying on that side, unfortunately if she continues with the flat spot she will always have it. In infancy, the skull is soft and formable if that makes since - it hardens as they get older. My daughter had the same problem except hers was on the back of her head. You may have to endure the fussiness of your little one and get her sleeping on her back or other side - once she has done that for a bit then it will get easier. Sounds to me she is just in the routine of sleeping on that particular side and doesnt like change. If this continues I would deeply suggest talking to your peditrician about steps you can take.,

My daughter was the same way. I put her in a sleeping wedge and then rolled a recieving blanket to put up under the side she normally slept on (not near her head)so she would keep from rolling on to that side. I also tried to keep her on her tummy as much as possible. I was really worried too, I even posted the same request on here. My daughter is six months now and her flat spot is almost gone. Her head is not perfect but it looks sooo much better. Don't worry about it too much. My doctor said you can buy all of the fancy helmets and things but you will really get the same results by just being mindful of where her head is and just waiting until she can pretty much be off of her back most of the time.

All 3 of my babies had flat spots on the side they favored...With my first son I didn't notice it until I took him to the dr and he pointed it out..He told me just to keep him off that side as much as possible..When he started rolling over and sleeping on his stomach it went away. My twins also both had flat spots..They are 9 months now and are my son's is just now starting to go away..So just try to keep her off of it..there is something they can do about it if the dr thinks it is necessary..it is some type of helmet that they can wear..Mine didn't have to get the helmet and I can tell you my oldest son's head was very flat..it should round back out..good luck

My twin boys also had a problem with their heads. Our doctor told us to get those sleeping wedges, which you can just about any place, and position your baby the opposite side of the flat spot. We almost waited to long before we did this so don't hesitate and get started immediately. They only cost about $10. It is worth every penny...not to mention, you don't have to worry about your baby rolling over on her belly and smothering. Good luck.
