The good thing is that you won't need to take magic, expensive pills to naturally lower your blood pressure. You can eat food...that you buy in the grocery store! You're right, paying attention to exercise and nutrition are both keys to lowering blood pressure.

The good news is that the DASH diet is a balanced nutritional plan that you can adopt for the rest of your life. It is super easy to understand and follow and does not require you to buy supplements, prepackaged foods (which are the worst for those with HBP), or have a restrictive eating plan.

A few years ago I had issues with HBP (150s-115s) so for four months I modified diet according to DASH and lost 30 pounds. After four months I added in exercise and as a result lost inches and dropped clothing sizes. More importantly, my BP dropped to 105/60-70s.
Foods - bananas, sweet potatoes, kiwis, broccoli, spinach, potatoes, grapes, blueberries, cantaloupe. Look for things with high potassium.
