Any moms out there that have a good remedy for dry feet. I have the worst dry feet. I try lotion every night, with and without socks. Nothing seems to help. I have the foot file things but I feel sometimes that makes it worse. It drives me crazy at night when I go to bed. I can't stand the feeling of rough feet against my sheets. I usually put on lotion and then socks. Any great products that you gals have come across, please let me know. Thanks

What can I do next?

Have you checked with a podiatrist or doctor? My girlfriend had a case of chronically itchy, dry feet that would peel sometimes. She brought it up with her doctor at a routine visit. Turned out she had athlete's foot. A couple of weeks on some sort of ointment cleared it up. Just a thought, if regular foot creams don't seem to be doing the trick.

bag balm! it works wonderfuly! coat your feet at night, then put on socks... if you keep it up for a good week straight it should do the trick... then maintain by doing the same a couple nights a week!

Keihl's products are pretty amazing, if you've never tried them. Also, you could try applying vaseline at night and sleeping with socks on.

i have the exact same problem! i bet your feet catch on carpet fibers too? and forget about putting on a pair of nylons! i can sometimes slide on the wood floor because my feet are so dry. my hubby does too. it doesn't bother him at all but i cringe when i can hear him put on socks.

anyway, i was using the 'as seen on tv' miracle foot cream that they sell at bed bath and beyond until i found that is has parabens in it so i switched to a cream called 'almost butter' by kiss my face. that's works pretty well too.

i use a foot file first. i used to use it dry until someone told me you were supposed to do it wet so now i do it in the shower or when i'm taking a bath. it does work much better that way, my feet feel way smoother.

good luck!

Have you tried putting baby oil on as soon as you get out of the shower, before you dry your skin? I started doing that a few weeks ago and it has made a huge difference! I thought it would be messy, but once I dry it with a towel, you'd never know you just used oil!

I had the same problem and got some great advice from a pedicurist. She said to use a foot file, but the ones that are like sandpaper...not the really rough ones...because they will smooth the dead skin off much better. The stones and really rough files just tear the skin and make it worse. I use it at the end of my shower when my feet are nice and soft, about 30 seconds on each heel, every shower. Then I put on peppermint foot lotion and it has made a world of difference. I also use a sloughing lotion from Avon about once a month to remove more of the dead skin all over my feet.

You may very well have a fungal infection that manifests as dryness. A visit to a good podiatrist would be in order. Not sure where you live, but I work with a LOT of podiatrists and I can recommend a good one for you if you email me back: ____@____.com.
