Hello I am wondering if anyone knows of a store brand formula that compares to the Enfamil Nutramigen? My daughter was switched to this because she was having trouble going to the bathroom. Thanks, T.

I don't know much about formula's, my last "baby" is 10 and never had formula, but I believe store bought formulas are basic formulas, not specialty formulas. I'm afraid if you need a specialty one, it's going to be costly. There are certain minimal requirements that all formulas must have and store bought will have those. Good luck
I know how expensive Nutramigen can get. My daughter had Reflux and was put on Nutramigen. we later found out because she was alergic to other formulas (Medical reason) our insurance covered it. You should ask your Doctor . It saved us tons of money.
No store brought option that I know of. Your best bet is to use Alimentum. It smells better is a bit (only a little ) cheaper and they usually have samples and coupons in the office. You have to ask! Also sign up for the Similac Club, I think it is called Strong Moms and they will send you $5 coupons. If your baby is doing well on this formula wait until they are a few months old and you may be able to go back to regular Similac. This worked for my neice who had colic. After she outgrew the colic about 5 months of age, she did fine on the cows milk based Similac
I do not believe there is one. Check with your insurance if it is for medical reasons it may be covered. My daughter was on it 20 years ago and it was expensive then so I cannot imagine how much it is now.

The only equivalent formula is Similac Alimentum and it is just as expensive. I had to use that for my son and there is no store brand out there for that one :( At least Similiac has $5 off coupons so I used one everytime I bought a can.

To the best of my knowledge their isn't one, but they recommended it for my son and honestly I used it before for my other son, the smell made me sick so I tried my younger one on Good Start and had excellent results. Plus it was much, much, much cheaper as I bought it at Wal-Mart. They have a bunch of different ones under the same brand which is Nestles. The results were so good that my pediatrician now recommends it, even though she doesn't get samples from the pharmacutical companies.
