Our beloved foster baby was removed from our home yesterday. Monday
her doctor gave us 5 large cans of Enfamil AR formula. I was assured
that even though the expiration date is July 1st, it is still good.
I would have sent this formula along with our precious baby, but she
could only keep down the powder type.
Please don't give my a hard time about the fact that this formula has
expired. Our family is having a difficult time with our loss, and we
just want to be able to help someone else if possible.
If anyone wants to pick-up in West LA, or if you know of a shelter
that will take it, please let me know.

I'm sure the formula is fine since it is only a few days past expiration. However, if anyone is concerned, he/she should simply call the enfamil line 800-baby123 (I just looked it up) and ask. Also, though you feel sadness for the loss of your foster baby, just know that you have provided a great, loving service for the baby and the new (hopefully, adoptive and loving) parents.
Dear L. , I am so sorry for your loss, I have heard other foster familys who take in kids, treat them as if they are there own baby's then they remove the child back to another family or the parents finally get it together. I am sure you made a difference in this childs life, they will never forget you.
On the formula, how kind to want to find somebody who could use the formula, although like anything else that expires there is a reson they do place a date on food. I know you would not want to take a chance of having another baby get sick. If your possitive its ok to use, they have shelters all over LA I am sure they will use it.
