Does anyone know of any free outdoor water fountains or wading pools downriver that the kids can play in? Two years ago we always went to the one in Flat Rock off Gibraltar rd by the library but last year, it was barely open at all & so far this year, it's still not running, so I need other suggestions! Please help.
There's one in Riverview and also has a big park on either side of the street.My cousins and I use to go to it when we were little and now we take our kids but I havent been there in a couple years.I didnt know about the 1 in Wyandotte that LC mentioned I might check that out myself.
We love going to Wyandottes fountain, but for some reason it was not running this past Saturday.
You may be looking for something bigger, but Wyandotte's downtown has a lovely little fountain that kids (and grownups!) can play in. It's on the corner of Eureka and Biddle across from Chase Bank, and just a block away from Stroh's ice cream parlor. We live nearby and often take a walk up to Stroh's, run through the fountain a bit, and finish it off with a walk by the river.
THere is one in Plymouth. It at Ann Arbor Trail and McClunpha.
Depending on where you are and how much you went to drive - Canton has one off Canton Center behind their Rec Center. That's all I can think of - I'm hoping you get lots of reponses!
