Hello, I am starting school full time in the fall and I will need daycare for my 3 kids. I will have a kindergartner and was wondering if there are any full day kindergartens around that are public or charter that would allow a boundary exemption. Anywhere somewhat close to Taylorsville would be great. If not, any great licensed daycare centers that are not too outrageously priced? Thanks for your help!!.

So What Happened?

Thank you for your answers. I will have to call the district and different daycares to find out about transportation. Thanks so much!!!

I know my daycare does private Kindergarten. I am not sure how much it is because my son is in 1st grade and the other is only 2. But they do transport back an forth the schools in the area. I would recommend you find a daycare near your home so if you need them transported from daycare to school and back then you will have it. Most daycares only go short distances in the area so they can make sure they get the kids to school on time. I live in West Jordan and my boys at Little Critters. They really enjoy it there. I would recommend google daycares in the Taylorsville area and then call and visit each one. Good luck in your decision.

Im not sure if anyone already answered the same, but my son had full day kindergarten in West Jordan at Majestic elementary. Its just off Redwood and 70th south :)

If you live near the Murray border, I believe several of the schools in Murray district have full day K and may be willing to do a boundary exemption. The one at my kids' school (Horizon) is needs-based, so if he's already advanced he probably won't qualify.

Where are you going to school? The U of U has child care facilities there, and a private (1/2 day) Kindergarten (you could coordinate with the two), and I think that SLCC has some child care facilities as well.

You can find out about the kindergartens by calling your school district office. They will also tell you the procedure for getting a boundary exemption.

I wonder if you've given thought to how you'll get your children from school to day care. Perhaps your children's school has an after school program and so you'll only have to find transportation for your kindergartner.
