Make a turkey out of their handprints, color over leaves with fall color crayons, cut them out, and make a wreath (really easy and cute!). I've found tons of fun craft ideas by using google. Find acorns and fill up a vase with them. It's fall looking and the kids will have a blast finding the acorns!

Get lettle toys, (easy to clean toys) and rake your leaves into a pile, hide the treasure into the pile, and have the kids dive in looking.

Go on a nature walk collect leaved, then take elmers glue and coat the leaves, now let that dry, now you have preserved leaves that can be played with.

Cut an apple in half and dip into paint and us as a stamp and paint with it.

Take a pinecone and roll it in peanut butter, then in bird seed, make a hanger on top and now you have a homemade bird feeder.

I was going to suggest Kelly's idea of the bird feeder made from pine cones.

You may want to check out Family Fun magazine or the website. They always have great ideas.

Dollar store. We have fun with the foam sticker stuff and hit Micheals discount bins for crafts too. I dont recommend the foam houses. They need a sticker glue then what comes with them and just gets everyone fustrated.

An idea i had one year was to make a christmas wreath with my then only child's handprints. I just traced one of her hand prints and then copied a few times.. You can also do yours too and let them have fun putting glitter glue or little colored puff balls or anything really.

Have an old puzzle with missing pieces? Use a paper plate as a guide to help make the first row of puzzle pieces in circle. Then glue a few more layers together. Spray with paint any color. Once dry glue on beads, ribbon etc for a cute decoration.

Michaels and Joann Fabrice have GREAT crafts for kids of all ages! The best part is you can get coupons online for both stores! Also, check your flyers in the mail or in your newspaper. They always have great deals! Today I used a 40% coupon, a bonus 25% coupon (from mail flyer) and I printed a 20% coupon from online for Michaels! Also- since it is Veteran's Day the store had so many deals! I saved $50 on my holiday shopping/crafts for my kids!! anytime there is a holiday the store has deals and if you use your coupons on top of that it's a huge savings! One idea (maybe for a little older, my son is 7) buy those styrofoam balls and some sequence in different colors. Take one of your child's school wallet size pictures and cut into a circle. with straight pins, cover the rest of the ball in patterns of sequence and use as an ornament. All you have to do is poke a string through the top and your set! Kids love it & you can make one every year so they can see how they have grown! It's fun and keeps them busy for a while :) Also, we like to buy the candy molds when they are on sale and make our own chocolate lolipops in funny shapes/figures. I just got some halloween molds for $1.00! There are so many great ideas you can do on a budget from these stores... :)
