Fundraiser with Home Delivery

My husband works for an online school and they would like to do a fundraiser. The problem is that they can't get the orders at the school since some kids do not live close by. So they need a fundraiser that you can place orders online and have the orders delivered to their homes. I only thought of Club's Choice & Equal Exchange. Is there any others that people are aware of? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the responses. I will pass all the info on to my husband so that they can look into it.

Shane B. - The online school is charter school just like any other public school. They get funding just like any other school and like any other school they have to pay for curriculum and other state fees to keep up with standards. This is just another way to raise money so that students can get up to date curriculum, organize field trips and also they will be having classes on site soon. It would be just like any fundraiser you get from your child's school except this will be all done online.

I don't know if Pampered Chef has anything like that or not but they have the whole home delivery thing down to a science.

Just do a fundraiser. Not a purchase something and get something for it.
A fundraiser. A donation type fundraiser.
ie: www.gofundme.com
Which is legitimate and many people use it for various reasons.
People can go to this site, and donate money.
And per the school, set up a school's Facebook account etc.
You have to network it.

And going this route for fundraising... the school should be saying what the funds are for. ie: to get more tech supplies for the school, to get more books for the library, to help pay for staffing, etc. THAT would be the "goal" for the school. Not selling stuff. But fundraising FOR the school and the purpose of the funds.
That way, the school/kids do not have to "sell" anything.
Just set up a donation, site.
The school, doing so.

This is how, many fundraising efforts are done, nowadays.
Not by selling stuff, nor door to door etc.
The goal being, not selling stuff. But the goal being, gaining funds, for the school, for using it for the school and the students and the curriculum.
And the school can say their ideal monetary "goal" for the donations fundraising. ie: The school's goal is to raise $1000, for computers and software.
And on the school's website, which they must have, they make on their homepage, the info for it.

I have seen, schools that do this, and succeed at it.

Google PTO Online Fundraisers......I do not know of any specifically, but you could probably find a bunch as there are different flyers I get monthly in the PTO newsletters and magazines!

One of our schools does a magazine fundraiser every year that is very successful. People can order on-line and then the magazines are sent to the subscribers just as they usually are. The company is QSP.

I believe Mabel's Labels will deliver to the house. You can contact them. They are really nice, and their products are terrific - not just for kids, but home and office, too. I have used them since DD was in daycare and some of the labels have outlasted the thing they were on or the usefulness of the thing (like DD's sippy cups). We also use them for sports and camping gear.

The flyer I have says 20% commission, no markups, dedicated staff support, unbeatable products. Sign up today: http://www.mabelslabels.com/info/fundraiser+signup

We did Sally Foster in elementary school. There was a catalog the children had for neighbors, etc but also an online option for relatives, etc who live away

It worked pretty well for our group.

The idea about googling PTO/PTA fundraisers is also good.

Our middle school sells magazines through Great American Opportunities and everything is billed and shipped directly to the homes. I don't mind magazine fundraisers because I usually purchase/renew magazines I would subscribe to anyhow.

Don't get mad at me for asking this, but why is an online school having a fundraiser?
What is the fundraiser for and where are the proceeds supposed to go?

Are you selling items that need to be shipped out?
If you're selling candles from a certain company, for instance, ask the company itself if they will help with shipping on their end, for a fee.

There is a woman in my town who has jars everywhere asking for money to get her and her adult son to Georgia. She put a photo on the jars from when her son was a little boy, and she's deceptive because she talks about dying and not having long to live. Apparently it's her mother who is ill, but she takes the money and spends it on alcohol and cigarettes. This is only her most recent scam. People that know her are on to her tricks and don't donate anything.

I suggest you have a plan, a clear explanation as to how the money will be used, explain how you will provide receipts for charitabe contributions, etc.
You'll have to explain shipping and handling charges, etc.

Fundraisers are awesome, but I wouldn't donate based on the fact that I don't have enough information as to what the fundraiser is for. What items are you selling and trying to have delivered?

I would be interested in donating money to be sent to Africa to help build wells, but why is an online school trying to raise money?
Were is that money supposed to go?

Just asking.

Just my opinion.

All the fundraisers I can remember are:

Sally's Gift Wrap
Cookie Dough
Pampered Chef
Write a letter and ask specifically for certain items / or cash donations in lieu of a hassle free fundraiser
On-Line auction with items donated

Not every one wants to buy stuff.
Not every one wants a party
Many people would rather support directly without all the hidden percentages of how much goes to the school.
