Need some fun ideas, hopefully you all are more clever than I am 'cause I got nuthin'!
We have a weekly get together with my 3 best gals and their kids. It was suggested that we try to do something fun for the holiday like a gift exchange or drawing, possibly with a funny theme. The kids range in age from 3-9. I can't think of any funny themes other than your basic white elephant exchange. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

I'M being dense is it that you 4 adults will exchange? or that the families will exchange? or that each child will get a gift?

I would hate to have to buy and store and manage even MORE stuff. so i would think, either each family brings a board game and you raffle it off some how

or do a cookie exchange,or something else edible

I hesitate to even do like one dollar stocking stuffer stuff.

could you exchange used movies or books?

Don't worry too much about the kids. Just get them some dollar store goodies.

For the adults:

Flying pigs.

Silly/pretty salt and pepper shaker sets. I found a set for my SD that is a snowman. The pepper is the bottom ball, the salt is the head, and the hat holds toothpicks!

Deck the halls (lovely Christmas ornaments).

Useful kitchen gadgets (buy your friend your favorite small kitchen tool/gadget....like a bench scraper or awesome ice cream scoop or really nice measuring spoons).

Make your own gift (buy different craft sets for necklaces, ornaments, wall-hangings, stockings, etc).

Hope that helps!

Cookie exchange, white elephant (NOTHING BOUGHT!), or dvd/book exchange.

Everyone has to get one of those As Seen On TV items. They are funny and I think stores like Walmart have a section of them. I'm sure you can find them on the internet.

Or classic cheesy gift theme - like Chia Pets or something from that era if you can find them.

Or do a gag gift theme. The kids would love this stuff.
