Getting Cigarette Smell Out

We used vinegar to get smell out of an upholstered chair. Pour about a cup of vinegar in a bucket of water with some fabric cleaner or laundry soap but not too much soap so you don;t end up with residue. Then clean the chair. or you can clean the chair with fabric cleaner and then vinegar and water in a spray bottle and just spray it. the vinegar smell goes away pretty quickly. I like to use Woolite cleaner in a triggere bottle. they have one for pet odor and it works pretty well.

Let it sit outside to air out and then febreeze the heck out of it. Then put it back outside to let the febreeze dry.

That should take care of it.

If it doesn't, you might need to clean it with a little carpet cleaner.

i would try febreeze myself.

i got a treadmill with this issue. it faded, just took a few days.

I second the vinegar! It does a great job of getting smoke smell out!

A steamer also works to get smells out of fabric. But not everyone has a steamer available.

theres this citrus spray they have at auto stores thats made for getting strong smells out of your car.. i believe it says right on the bottle for cigarette smoke.. it works wonders.. it even gets the nasty cigar smell out of my dads jeep

Febreeze or spray down with solution of vinegar and water. I prefer the Febreeze option.

Extra strength fabreeze. Has worked every time I use it on whatever I use it on. Spray the fabric until slightly damp. Wait till it dries and smell again. Reapply until the smell is gone. Seriously I have never had fabreeze not work. Oh, but buy the name brand stuff. Renuzit(sp) also has a fabric spray that also works but I just don't have the same luck with the store brand sprays. It really shouldn't be too hard to get the smell out. Enjoy your new chair!
