There is a study showing that taking probiotics (or eating yogurt with live active cultures) while pregnant and breastfeeding will help you lose the baby weight. It may also help prevent allergies in the baby, so it's a win-win.
I am 10 weeks preg with baby #2. I was very lucky with my first child and easily lost the baby weight. I breastfed my first for 6 months. I am 6 1/2 years older this time, and I am worried I will not bounce back so easily.
My concern with getting back into my clothes has less to do with vanity and more to do with the fact that I just lost my job and will not be able to afford an entirely new wardrobe (expensive suits included) post pregnancy.
I am continuing to run 2 miles 3-4 days a week and doing yoga and weights occassionally. I crave carbs with the pregnancy and they are the only thing that helps the morning (all day) sickness. I am planning on breastfeeding this baby as well.
Any other suggestions for getting the pre-baby body back?!
Thanks moms!

It's great to hear your running and breastfeeding! I'm recovering from my second pregnancy (2 months) and doing the same. I've been running for 2 minutes at my top speed every 5 minutes of the duration of my run and rotating my strength training exercises. I also keep my diet as clean as possible (no processed stuffs, extra oils, etc.) and I'm only drinking water. I'm seeing great results. I'm also not killing myself and making sure I rest and sleep when I can. Hope your recovery goes well!
Breastfeeding is a great way to get back in shape! The extra burn of 500 calories makes the pounds melt quickly!
I found that after baby #2, my body definitely did not bounce back like it had the first time. In fact, baby #2 is now almost 5 and I'm still not the size that I was. Granted, up until recently, I was too busy to care. Now that I'm determined to get my groove back, I signed up for Adventure Boot Camp. The weight is coming off (I had about 15 pounds to lose) and I'm getting my muscle tone back. But seriously, that is the ONLY thing in the past 5 years that has worked for me. I'd heard it before from other moms, and I think it's true - after baby #2 you have to practically beat the weight off of yourself. Work out, and work out hard. It will probably help that you're continuing to work out while you're pregnant. I am sure that will help you bounce back faster!
Congrats on your pregnancy!
