I think it is still too early for you to do major exercises that focus on the stomach. Be careful, not to over do it or you could cause damage. I would start with walking/yoga/pilates/eating healthy.

I had 2 c sections with my 3rd coming in less than 5 weeks and there is hope! It isnt easy for sure but I was able to get the nice tone, tight tummy I wanted! I bought a 5 pound work out ball and did crunchs holding that, side crunchs with it and a "v" with it. Lay on your back, legs straight out and you arms staight out and at the same time bring them both up to a "v", then slowly put your legs and arms back down! This one def works alot of muscles! I also did pilates a few times a week with a dvd and walked 3 to 4 miles, 4 or 5 times a week. I have a wii fit and did alot of stuff on there as well. I know it sounds like alot but my exercising only took about 30 min or so and I had a good time doing it! Dont forget to eat a balanced diet and drink lots of water. Good luck!

i had 2 c-sections and I can tell you there is hope. You can get a nice flat stomach again but it does take work. With my second I gained a total of 27 pounds and by 6 months I had lost it all, BUT i still had a little tummy. I honestly feel that with a c-section you have to lose additional weight and tone your muscles again in order to have a great tummy. So I started dieting while BF which is safe to do if you do it right (still eating well but just counting your calories) And i did "The Firm 5 day ab video" every day. My daughter was turning 1 in January and we were also taking a family trip to Hawaii so my goal was to have a great tummy by then. But by the time she was about 10 months I was down to 107 lbs and had a nice tight tummy. I was able to wear a bikini at the beach with total confidence. So i guess I'm just saying don't let people get you down or tell you there is no hope after a c-section. You can do it! just keep dropping the weight and target tone those tummy muscles.

Well, you probably aren't going to like this but here it goes! :-)

I started a running routine, cut about 90% of the sugar out of my diet, reduced calories to about 1800 per day when I workout and 2000 per day when I don't (I am 6 ft. tall so my calorie needs are probably a couple hundred per day more than yours if you are average height).

I work out 5 days a week for about 45 minutes to an hour. I have worked up to running 2.5 miles on the treadmill without stopping, but at a slow pace. 6 weeks ago, I could only run for 2 minutes at a time, then I would have to walk for 2 minutes. I have dropped 8 lbs in 6 weeks and my mommy c-section tummy (2 of them!) is almost completely gone. I look better than before I got pregnant!

I get to the gym at 4:30 am 3 days a week to be able to fit this into my schedule. It sounds daunting but it isn't that bad. And looking good makes it all worth it! Good luck!

Sadly, we have to learn to love it. Or at least to ignore it a bit more. I lost more than 25 pounds from my pre-baby weight and am in single-digit clothing sizes for the first time as an adult, but no matter how I work out or eat well, there is more skin on my belly than before. I try to do more Pilates moves and Yoga moves to help with core muscles (planks are great--I also work out with DVDs, many of which are really good workouts but geared toward moms for time/specific motivation). I never had a C-section, so do not know if there are specific exercises that help with that. You will reach a point where there is no fat, just skin, and the only really good help will be to keep those core muscles toned, keep your skin in great condition by eating well and drinking lots of water, using lotion, and finding clothes that flatter you. There are always some women, though, who really look awesome and have no "mommy tummy," but I am not one of them. It is still pretty early, so don't be too hard on yourself. :)

C-Sections are tough because they literally cut through your muscles to remove your child. Most of the women I know who have flat bellies after C-Sections have had tummy tucks (but most would never admit it).

Though I've not done it personally, the best bet is likely to get a good personal trainer at a gym and have them help you target specific exercised targeting the muscles involved.

In all my years as an athlete growing-up, I'm not sure I ever learned how to do a sit-up correctly.

Good luck!

Unfortunately the only way to get rid of done-lap (my belly done lap over my belt) is to have it surgically removed. It's been three years and 50+ pounds since I had a c section and the more weight that is lost the bigger the fold at the bottom of my tummy. I'm currently 6 1/2 months pregnant and still have quite the "apron" hanging of my abdomen.

It works!! Great Reviews!!

I've had 2 c-sections. You eventually get your body back with time and effort (easier said than done but worth it to look and feel good). I did breastfeed which helped. My youngest is almost 2. Counting calories, eating healthy (something I didn't focus on prior to children), and making time for exercise and/or walking is key. So do what's best for your schedule.

Remember c-sections are serious so take it easy. You'll still feel your body healing 5 months from now.

And by the way, I heard Dr. Oz say blueberries and avocado (not together, lol) are good for flat stomachs.

Last suggestion, if you like dancing, try some belly dancing (on dvd) as a form of exercise or join a class.

Good luck to you. Congrats on the baby. :)
