Hi Mammas!
I delivered a baby girl last month. And I will be going for my 6 week post partum check up at my doctors. She and the nurse have been very helpful throughout my pregnancy. I would like to show my appreciation towards both of them by giving them something. Can you suggest something that i can give them? My budget is about $10-$15 each.
Thanks a lot in advance!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Wow!! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas Mammas!! You all are so helpful.
I went ahead and bought a box of Godiva chocolates for my OB, a jar of Hot Chocolate for the nurse & a big box of assorted chocolates for the staff. Hope they all like it. And also put in a thank you card along with a picture of my daughter for the Doc.
Thank you all so much!!

I remember doing this same thing after my daughter was born because I loved my obgyn so much. I got a wicker basket filled with goodies for the whole staff. I went to Michael's dollar section and got a bunch of little items that any woman would consider useful: boxes of thank you cards, cute pens and pencils, little "to do" shopping lists with the magnets on back, and some other stuff I can't remember. That way, the basket was like a little grab-bag where each person at the office could choose a few things. Then, I topped it off with a card to the staff and, of course, a picture of our new baby.
I think it is so nice that you are taking the time to do something special for people who were kind to you. If only more people in this world were like that...

Corner Bakery has great cakes, cookies, and treats that are all very good. They have a signature cake called the Cinnamon Creme cake, it's like a pound cake. I buy this cake when I go to different functions and I have to bring something. They also have mini bundt cakes so there are lots to choose from. I do think a group gift would be nice.. They all do work together to make the office run smoothly for everyone..

What time did you deliver your baby? Was it in the middle of the night? I remember seeing soo many tired doctors when we were there at three in the morning. I think an awesome gift would be something from starbucks. You know you could get a cute mug with a pound of coffee or something. or a gift card. I think that would be hillarious. I am always looking for gifts that have a side meaning.
If yours was in the middle of the day I would do something else, but it might be cute if you had to wake them up at night to get them coffee.

You don't have to take a gift, but if you want homemade cookies or breads are always nice. Or buy some yummy goodies from a special bakery (Celebration, Harvest Bread Co etc) and bring whatever favor you gave out at the hospital... if you gave any out and have any left over.

I would give something that can be shared by the entire office... they all work together for you in one way or another. An actual thank you card for the two you want to single out would be nice.

If you have a gourmet candy shop in your area--homemade fudge is always a great gift!
