Hi,
I will be taking my daughter out of daycare at then end of next week. She has been going to a home daycare for two years. I want to get my daycare provider a gift that she will love. We have been absolutely grateful that we found her to take care of our daugther while working so I want a gift that will really show our appreciation. I am willing to spend up to $100 for the perfect gift, but would rather stay around the $50-$75 range. Any suggestions??
Thank you so much for all of your advice!!! I think I am leaning toward a spa gift certificate, but I will definitly make sure she is one to enjoy a massage before doing that. I may also do something with pictures as suggested. You all have been wonderful. Thanks so much!!

Hi My name is C.! I am a Preschool teachers aide for 3yr olds and my last day for a few weeks was on Thursday!! The mom's all got together and got me a wonderfull awesome gift cert to Nordstorms and it is something I could never do for myself. I can't wait to go and have My own Spa Day!! As the teacher's aide we put on an end of the school year program for the parents and had taken pictures of all the kids thru-out the year and put it into a slide show for them. So the picture thing is great too especially since she is an in-home care giver. I too have a Home Based Buisness in which I sell Jewerly (Lia Sophia Jewelry) have an ad under Memeber Perks. So I am giving all of my daughters teachers jewelry to match the first set I gsve them at Christmas. So if you are interested shoot me an email @ ____@____.com we have very affordable fashion fwrd Jewelry(Lifetime Guarantee-no questions asked) buy 2 get your 3rd at 1/2 off( the most expensive piece is your 1/2 off)
Hi K.,
I think that after working so hard with kids all day she needs to have a day to herself. I think a Spa package is something that would be nice. You can get then in any amount. My friend got one for Mothers Day last year from her Husband. He got her a 100.00 one. she had an hour massage and got her hair done all in the same day.(she had to spend it at one time)If you do this and want to spend 100.00 I would break it up so she can go more then once. Hope this helps. GOod Luck
Anything Avon is always a great choice. I can create a custom basket for you if you would like. Just shoot me an email. ____@____.com www.youravon.com/suzannewebb
AS an in-home care provider myself the massage is great! Just make sure is has no expiration date or if it does that is is a long time out. Thanks from all the other in-home care providers for thinking of yours. We often do not receive gifts from our families that we serve.
My neighbor has a business, she monograms virtually anything. I was there yesterday getting teacher's gifts. She has bags that the teachers love and she monograms their name or initials. She also has robes, spa wraps, casserole covers, hoodies, computer bags, throw blankets, beach towels, aprons, koozies, travel mugs, etc. I am getting an adorable brown/white polka dot bag with the teacher's name in blue. She can do custom monogramming with the name of the school, team, or virtually anything. And, she can get it to you within a few hours if necessary! I can't recommend her work enough. I also bought some baby stuff, she has tons of different things. I use her for every gift I need! Contact: Sherry at ____@____.com, ###-###-####. Good luck! J.
I agree with the massage! I have 2 kids, and do home childcare, so to me, that would be perfect! Check out massage envy. They have new comer rates.
The best idea i've come up with lately. I have had such a great response from it.... A zoo membership. Actually it is very affordable in the $50 and up range. This is something the family can enjoy all year....boo at the zoo, special openings, christmas etc.... Make it nice for a small day out with younger kids. You don't feel like you have to stay from open to close to get your monies worth. The gift cert. Lets you come and go all year.

I don't think you can put a price tag on the perfect gift, however why not make her something. If you have pictures that were taken during the care of you daughter, put together a collage in a nice picture frame or make a flower basket, using your daughters picture as the center of the flowers. Often time a small homemade gift means more to a teacher, then anything else. Can't wait to hear what you've done!
We absolutely LOVE our daycare provider and she LOVES our daughter more than anything. We try to do something special for her on any special occasion. We gave her flowers on Mother's day/Day Care Provider Day, her birthday etc., which she loved. At Christmas, in addition to cash/gift cert, I made up a digital picture book at Shutterfly.com with pictures of our daughter's first year. It included pictures I had taken at her daycare and is something special she'll have after my daughter moves onto pre-school. I also think the massage idea is nice, but make sure she is the kind of person that would like that. I have a friend that would hate to get a massage as she's feels too self consious. If you got a gift cert for a day spa, she could choose a facial or manicure instead.
You personalize your own stuff at Steel My Heart. Most gifts are under $100. Actually magnet collections, door plates, wrist huggers, key tag.......all of these items are under $50. All of them are completely personalized and really special to the recipient. http://J..yoursmh.com
If you have any questions let me know!
I would get her an hour massage at a nice spa near her. I know all moms and daycare providers could use a massage every now and then!!
