My girlfriend is pregnant and due soon, she is not sure what she is having. She has a boys name set, but can't find a good girls name. The trick is that the middle name is Stella, after her grandmother. So I need help for her. What is a good girls name that sounds good with the middle name of Stella? Thanks

What about

Kaylee
Abbi
Audrey

That's just off the top of my head. Seems to me that names that end in the long e sound best.

Depends if she is looking for something modern or something traditional, but I would avoid having both names ending in a. What about names that end in -ine/-ene or -ise? Most of these names are old-fashioned which I think makes them cool. Kind of a strong ending to go with the soft ending of Stella?

Just a thought, what if Stella was the first name, I know a couple of really wonderful Stellas.

Stella Grace, Stella Ann, Stella Kate, Stella Lyn, Stella Joy, Stella Marie, Stella Maria (that sounds like a song, or Stella Maria! Like Copa Cabana! lol) would be nice names. Actually it's easier to think of names that sound good with Stella first!

But to your request ...

Mary Stella
Macaire Stella
Jessica Stella (my niece is Jessica Ella!)
Lauren Stella

Wow this is harder than I'd thought! Good luck to your friend. Now I'm thinking if I have any more, I love the name Stella as a first name! lol.

I think a consonant ending sounds best with Stella.

Elinor Stella
Margaret Stella
Piper Stella
Quinn Stella
Claire Stella [which means "bright star," pretty cool]

I love Jen C's responses. I especially love the contrast with the r and the end of the first name.

My only suggestion is to remember to count the syllables. When paired with the last name how many syllables are there in the entire name? I find 6 or less syllables and the name sounds stronger. 7 is the absolute most. For example, Ward Thomas Rosenberg (6 syllables) Opposed to Benjamin Thomas Rosenberg (8 syllables) But hey, that's just my 2 cents.:-)

Enjoy the new little one!
