The Shack. It will give you a whole new outlook on life. I found it inspiring - but not in a "go take on the world" sort of way. More inner peace, direction and hope. Who couldn't use a little of that these days eh?

Hi L.

I just went to a Lia Sophia party last week. Very Cute stuff ( I just didn't have the funds to buy anything).

A great book to boost team morale would be:
Stone Soup by Marcia Brown... It's simple kids story with a great lesson!

Description: The perennial favorite, read to a generation of children by Captain Kangaroo, the story of three soldiers who manage to cook up a fine soup by cajoling the necessary ingredients from a village of wary French peasants. This fable can be thought of as "The Emperor's New Clothes" in reverse, where nothing is revealed to be something, after all. The original stone was only a pretext to start the villagers sharing in a way that they would not have considered without the catalyst of the "stone soup" that they thought they were improving.

You can make something out of nothing!

If you're looking for an inspirational book, check out the Simple Truths of Service by Blanchard & Glanz. Someone mentioned Jodi Picoult and she's one of my favorite authors.
Check out www.goodreads.com It's a great way to share books with your friends.

Hi L.,

I have my own businesses working from home and I am also the business manager at Long Family Auto in Warren. I have found these books to be incredible tools, not only at home but for the salesmen I work with.

The books I have read and recommended (there are many, but I'm only giving you three at the moment) are Thank You Power by Deborah Norville, The Go-Giver by the amazing Bob Burg, and The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson. These books are geared toward appreciating others and making your dreams happen. I recently bought a highly recommended book called Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port. I haven't read it yet, but I'm looking forward to it and the information it contains.

Thanks for asking this question. I'm always looking for new books, advice, shared knowledge. Good luck with your business and if I can do anything to help you, either building your team or a vehicle (we have full service sales, service, body shop, and parts departments), please let me know. It would be my pleasure.

L.

"Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson. One of those stories that stays with you for a long time! It is about a mountain climber/nurse that attempts to climb K2 and his journey to build schools in Pakistan. It is story that really proves that one person can make a big difference if you put your heart and soul into it. AMAZING!

Hi L.! I'm a Silpada Designs Jewelry Rep and the book that I've been giving as awards to my team is "Makeup Optional - Lessons I learned Working From Home" by Lyn Conway. It's an inredible book about balancing family life and a stay at home business like ours. There are tons of women who make over 6 figures doing what we do, all while working from home, and this book has tons of great tips that can help get you there! I highly recommend it! The website you can get the books from is GetAFreshPerspective.com
Good Luck!

Hey L.! I also love anything Jodi Picoult. But a read I thought was inspiring was Eat, Pray, Love. I am not sure that is what you are looking for for your Lia Sophia team, but a good one for sure.

I also have been reading The Secret. It is about the power of visualization. It is a good read, and would be good for a team who is looking to fulfill some dreams!

Good luck, and happy reading!

If you want a good escape and a good laugh, I like the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. Pure enertainment, and you don't have to read them in order.
