I have begun to let my 3 year old play games on sesameworkshop.org for a limited amount of time. They are wonderful games that teach sorting, beginning reading skills, counting, etc. I would love to know of any other good sites that have educational games for pre-schoolers. Thanks!

Thanks for all the great websites! So far we have tried Starfall.com and it is great! My daughter is really enjoying that and it's a nice change from just using sesameworkshop.org. Thanks again!

Reader Rabbit Toddler is absolutely awesome! I love it because the kids can use either the mouse or the keyboard and can move from activity to activity easily. They find it very entertaining. you can find it on ebay for usually around 5$ or so.

I like www.enchantedlearning.com There is a $25 (I think) annual fee to use gain full use of the site, but as a preschool teacher, I have found it to be ABSOLUTELY worth it! There is also a lot that you can do without being a member. I think it would be worth checking out, anyway. :)

www.noggin.com is a good one too. Noggin is also a station on TV, and their tagline is 'Like Pre-school on TV'. The kids love it, albeit on a limited time basis as well.

L.,

There is also PBSkids.org that has stuff from their favorite TV shows. I've never used it, we have some actual games we bought at Target for about $10. One is a Caillou game that teaches letters, colors and shapes, numbers, and has a bunch of coloring pages that can be printed off. We also picked up an I Spy Junior game that he loves.

Hope this helps,
Melissa

When it is raining and for a half hour before bed my children get on the computer and play. The web sights they go to is www.noggin.com which is a Nick Jr. web sight. It has dora and deigo and all the good cartoons for kids. Another websight is www.disneychannel.com they find lots of fun beginner games there. Good luck and if you get a chance sit down with him/her I find we get a good family playtime out of it.

Hi L.,

Like you I love the educational games. We've let our son, who is now 5 going to be 6 in Sept., log onto Playhouse Disney playhousedisney.com....we really like it and never have to worry about anything they have on their site. We of course also suggest the Leapster and their learning games...he loves this and still uses it today. I hope that helps! Have fun!

Another good one I have found is: http://www.fisher-price.com/

Then click on "Fun and Family Time" on the left and you will see the menu pop for the games. They divide it into infant, toddler and preschool games. The toddler games we have used the most thus far (my son is now 3). One is where they press any letter key on the keyboard and the letter pops up and an animal with the same first letter comes out and makes a sound (he really loves this). This is nice because they don't have to use the mouse (which I have found to be a challenge). The other one is they hit any key to make a character kick or hit a ball (they have soccer, football, & hockey).

Enjoy,
H. C.

Hi,,,have you checked out Disney? I know they have an on-line gaming site for preschoolers..or at least they did, you might look for that..Also have you seen the new V-tech nitro notebook..It looks like a real laptop and has over 600 learning games on it..It`s not on-line but a 3yr old wouldnt know the difference. I just bought one for my grandson for under 50 bucks and he loves it..He lays on his belly next to his mom while she works on her real one..Good luck

disneychannel.com is great. they can play games involving their favorite characters. wonderzone.com is a good one too. its a christian website, but there are plenty of games that don't involve religion at all and there are activities and stories they can listen too that are religious.
