If you love your pediatrician please tell me about him/her. We've recently relocated to the Aurora area and I need a new pediatrician for the kids. Any recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

If you're willing to drive down to Oswego, Apple a Day Pediatrics is awesome. Small practice with Dr's Jim and John Webb (they're twin brothers!). Exceptional service, excellent care, highly capable doctors. I can't say enough about them. We've been patients since my oldest was an infant, 5 years ago).
We go to Kristin Ufferman at Rush Copley Family Practice. She is a family practice doctor and has been wonderful fo me and my son.
We go to Dr. Danial Schulman in Batavia. Best pediatrician ever. In fact we switched to him when my middle son was born. He always has time to talk to you and make sure you understand exactly what he is talking about. He gets down on the kids level to talk to them to make sure they understand what is happening and why. When my son was 2 he came home and told me the doctor looked for mickey in his ears lol. as he got older dr shulman told him he was looking for infection etc but back then it was fun to look for mickey. he lets the kids hold the instrument, look through it etc so they are not afraid of it.
When my oldest son was about 8 he fell down a set up stairs and cracked his head pretty good right behind the ear. dr schulman met us at the emergency room and stayed till all test results were in and a plan was made for treatment.
He is very caring. The only bad thing is he sees them til their college physical and then says "and who will you see next year" My yougest is 17 so this will be our last year with him. his number is ###-###-####.
if you don't want batavia the doctors are dryer clinic are also good but Dr. Schulman is the best of the best.
I love Dr. Lorene Eckberg at the Dreyer Fox Valley Office - right next to the Fox Valley Mall. She and her staff are great! They have medical records access through the internet so I can look up any information at anytime which is really helpful. The online system also allows you to email the office for non emergencies, request appointments and refill prescriptions. They also have a walk in clinic in the same office building so if you need to get in quicker than the office has an appointment for, your records/history are available to the clinic doctors as well. Dr. Eckberg has been awarded this years Dr. Dreyer Award for service and has been named one of the Top 100 doctors by Chicago magazine in 2010.
