Snip-Its in the Target plaza behind Chandler Mall. We have moved to Scottsdale & I still make the trip down there to get my daughters haircut.
hi! i need to find a place that has FRIENDLY stylists to work with my two boys in getting their hair cut. our experience at the kid place off the San Tan Parkway was horrendous! the stylist didn't talk to my 3 yr old. she didn't even try to make it a pleasant experience for him (he is petrified of the clippers) and wouldn't even consider using the scissors (which he will totally sit still for). any suggestions for an inexpensive place that is kid-friendly. even better..any names of stylists pop to mind? thanks!!

HI G., Try Cool Cuts in the Lowe's center on the NW corner of Gilbert Rd and Warner. It's next to Panda Express. We have taken our kids there and they are older but the staff is great and they have things for the kids to do to distract them from getting their hair cut! Good Luck!
Go to Third Dimension at Lindsey/Williams Field Road next to the Walgreens. The owner, Mike and his wife are great with children. I use to take both of my children there with minor screaming.
Hi G.,
I take Brady (14 months) to Sharah (sp) at Lolilocks on Baseline just east of Val Vista, in the Dana Park Village shopping center. They cater to children and she is really good and patient.
I take my kids to a hair stylist who used to work at Cool Cuts for Kids. She specializes in kids haircuts!! She rents her own space at the beauty mall building located at the corner of Williams Field and Gilbert. She is fantastic! She has video games or dvds for the kids to keep them busy while their hair is being cut. She's so patient. Then they get a dumb dumb sucker when their done. Her name is Dawn Slaton -
phone ####-###-####. 13634 E. Williamsfield Rd. Tell her that J. referred you. Good Luck.
I would suggest Dawn at Savvy Scissors. She is great with the kids and she does a good haircut. She used to work at Cool Cuts but started her own business. She still has the movies and suckers for the kids. The only drawback is she is only open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. She is in the Gilbert/Chandler Beauty Mall on Williamsfield Road. Call or email to set up an appointment. ###-###-#### ____@____.com
I took my 18 mo old son for his first haircut @ Cool Cuts 4 Kids on Gilbert/Warner. We had a great experience...He sat in a fire engine chair and did just fine (my husband and I worried he'd freak out but the fire engine distracted him). The total cost was $16.00 (before a tip), kinda pricey, but worth it. Good Luck!
G.,
We have been going to the same person for over 3 years. She used to work at Cool Cuts for Kids and now is on her own in the Gilbert/Chandler Beauty Mall. My boys are 5 and 2 1/2 and sit relatively still for her while she uses scissors and the clippers only for the bottom edge and around their ears. Dawn Slaton at Savy Scissors specializes in kids haircuts. ###-###-####. 13634 E. Williamsfield Rd in Gilbert. Corner of Gilbert Rd. and Williamsfield (Chandler Blvd.) next to a drug store (CVS?). on NE corner. Haircuts are $15, but she sends out a monthly coupon via email. The kids get to pick a video to watch during their cut and get a sucker afterward. K. L.
I have an almost 3 yr old boy with really curly hair so it is easy to mess that up with a bad cut/stylist. We just had our 4th haircut at Lollilocks at Val Vista/Baseline and he LOVES it there. They are really nice and great with kids, not to mention know how to work with and cut kids hair. He actually asks to get his haircut when it is getting too long now, although I will admit he cried the 1st time, like most do. He has come a long way, but I think it is because they make it a fun, pleasant experience. Worth every penny to me...

We absolutely love LolliLocks. It's specifically designed for children with a variety of kid friendly chairs and a play area if they're taking turns getting their hair cut. They even have their own line of products for kids. We go to the Dana Park location off Val Vista.
We enjoy Lollilocks at Dana Park.
Hi G.,
I'm a hairstylist, LOVE kids and my salon is on Val Vista and Southern. I don't know if that is too far away for you or not. Our kids cuts are $12.00. I used to work at a "fast-food" type of hair salon and I know what you mean about finding a stylist who is friendly with kids. It would break my heart when the other stylists treated children poorly. Usually kids warm up to me and aren't scared after a little while. I have two grown children and am a brand new grandma to the cutest little boy ever!!! I'm kind of partial I think. Josiah is 2 months old now and smiled at me for the first time last week!! :o) Any who, my salon is called Divine Hair Design, ###-###-####. My name is L.. Give me a call if you don't find some place closer.

I've had good experiences at Cool Cuts for Kids at Gilbert & Warner. Not the cheapest, but they really cater to the little ones.
Good luck!
My niece works at the great clips on Greenfield and Southern. I know its not exactly in Gilbert but she is great with kids. Her name is Shandee.
