We also had to drive. WE went to Cool Cuts in Parker Square. They did a great job and kept my active kiddo calm as well.
I'm a chicken and don't want to try cutting my own daughters hair! :-) So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to bring my 15-month old girl for a hair cut. She doesn't need much... just a trim of her bangs and above her ears. I guess I could just take her to a regular haircut place. But I thought I'd see if anyone knew of a place in Denton where they'd be good with kids. Especially babies or toddlers that may squirm and not like it much! Thanks!
Thank you, ladies, for the responses. Seems like the vast majority of you agreed that there weren't many good places in Denton. So, I went ahead and faced my fear and just trimmed her bangs myself! It actually wasn't so bad! And, as she gets older and needs a more detailed cut, I may try the Cool Cuts in Flower Mound since so many of you recommended that place. Thanks ladies!

I don't know of a place in Denton. I take my son to Cool Cuts in Parker Square in Flower Mound. He loves it! Make an appointment or you'll have to wait.
M., I live in Denton and have not found a decent place to cut my hair or my kids' hair-- even my husband won't go anywhere in Denton for a haircut!! We've all been "butchered" too many times! Don't go to the mall, pro-cuts, the one by Target, or any of the spa/salons... they are all terrible! There was once a kids cuts or something opened by Albertson's, but it too was AWFUL, and I think it closed down. My advice is go to Lewisville. I now go to Toni and Guy in Vista-- I will never go anywhere else. I pay a lot more, but boy is it worth it. My husband goes there as well. It is a bit much to pay for a kids' cut, so I have been doing those myself... but next time I try a place for them, it will not be in Denton!! :)
After living in Denton for almost 7 years, I have finally found someone who can do my hair right. So if you are looking to stay in Denton, her name is Sherry Lee at The Downtowner Salon. The address is 725 N. Elm Street, Suite #12, and phone number is ###-###-####. It's a fairly new shop and has many stylists in there. They each have their own private room. I have not taken my five year old son there yet, but I'm sure she would do just as well on him. I have taken him to many places in Denton as well, and have ended up going to Cool Cuts for Kids in Flower Mound and there is a nice place in Stride Rite in Lewisville. I can't remember the name of it, but it is in with Stride Rite. If you do go see Sherry, tell her L. Fox sent you. Good luck because I know it's hard to find someone that can do a good job on hair.
I take both of my boys to Katherine Szama in Lewisville.
My boys are 13 and 9 and she's the only one who has ever cut there hair. She mainly does children although she has adult
customers as well. I have many friends and family who use her as well. She has her own little shop in Main Street Salons on Main St. Her number is ###-###-####. She also does kids birthday partys. Different types of braiding, spay on hair color, ect..
I have made the mistake of using salons especially for children, and my kids' hair has been butchered. I would recommend you just make an appointment with your regular stylist. That's the easiest thing for me to do, and it saves me time, since I can make an appointment for all of us at once. Good luck!
I just took my 16 mos. old for his first hair cut. I couldn't find a place in Denton, so we ended up going to Flower Mound to Cool Cuts for Kids on Parker Square. They did a good job even though he was squirming. They distract them with videos and other things. They will even take a picture for you if this is her first hair cut.
