My twin boys went to Jayno Adams for preschool, it's a great school and you can volunteer to be a helper in the class. It's on Clintonville, south of Maybee.
I am looking for a preschool for my soon to be 4 year old, son. I have checked out a few of the preschools in my area and am dicouraged that I can not be in the class with him and they are very pricey. I work, but luckily I have a flexible schedule and would like any information that you may have on preschools in the area where I can be in the class room at least part time.

We love Clarkston Co-op preschool! The teachers are amazingly kind and the program offers a lot of flexibility. I have noticed that my child has made huge social skills gains and her confidence is much improved. Love it, please check it out!
The co-op preschools are designed especially for parents to be in the classroom on a rotation basis. Creative Co-op is in Waterford at Grace Church (formerly Shepard Fellowship) located on Williams Lake Road. That's where my son went and he had a great experience!

My daughter attended Clarkston Co-Op this year and really loved it. Mrs. French and Mrs. Tice are wonderful teachers. You do get to be in the classroom at least once a month and if the class is more than 10 you are required to be in it twice a month. Plus all the field trips.
If you are wanting to be invloved I would really check them out. I am not sure this coming years rates, but I found ccp reasonable compaired to some and similar compaired to others-but the teachers were really well worth it.
My son attend Airport Road Early Childhood Learnign Center (They recently changed the name from Airport Road Daycare, but I don't think the outside sign is changed yet). I have gone a few times to visit or help. I feel the price is reasonable - he is there for daycare, too - and they have flexible scheduling. It is a Christian based program as well, if you are interested in soemthing like that.
It is located in the Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene on Airport Road between hatchery and williams lake rd.
If you wish to be present at times and have a flexible schedule, then join a co-op preschool. I do believe there is one near Clarkston for they are all over the area. I have been a preschool teacher for some 15 years and tell parents not to remain with their children. Children behave differently when parents are present. It is ok once in a while but not each and every time. The child needs to grow independently and with a parent always present, this usually does not happen. You want them to make friends on their own and get ready to be comfortable in school for he will be starting kindergarten next year.
My son's preschool is probably too far from you (rochester), but it's a co-op (St. Paul's Co-op). I don't know if you've looked at co-ops, but it's great if you want to be a part of your son's class and they're usually much cheaper. I work 2-3 times a month in the class for 2 1/2 hours. It's great to see him interact and I get a first-hand view of how he's doing.
Have you checked out Clarkston Co-Op Preschool at the Clarkston United Methodist Church off of Waldon and M-15? I have put thru 2 of my kids and they both loved it. Since it is a Co-op you are required to work about twice a month maybe less. It is an awesome experience and wouldn't change it for the world!! They offer a.m. or p.m. classes. It is M/W/F and it is two and half hours. If you want more info you can go to www.clarkstoncooppreschool.com/. Good luck.
