My daughter is graduating from college this May. We will be having a party with about 40-50 in attendance to celebrate, and my house is not big enough o hold everyone comfortably. I have limited funds, so am looking for a hall or location where we can have this party and do our own catering and bring our own beverages. We have thought about a park, but am worried about the weather. Does anyone know of a house/room etc that can be rented at a reasonable price that allows us to bring our own food and beverages? WE live in The Colony, and she is graduating in Denton, so any location in The Colony, Frisco, Lewisville, Grapevine, Highland Village, Denton etc. Thanks for your help.

You might look into local libraries and rec centers. I know the ones in Flower Mound both offer rooms. Also in Flower Mound, Pinewood Hills Retirement Community has a nice room that I've been to attending various PTA/Communities in Schools events. It's free for the PTA - not sure what they might charge individuals. They have a small kitchen in a nook at the side of the room, which is nice.

We will be getting our "camp" ready for Summer Day Camp at the end of May and will be setting up a 40x40 pavillion tent. We have tables and chairs as well that can accomodate your attendees. We can rent our tent/table/chairs out to you guys if you are interested. I can talk to you about the food/drinks as well for a package deal. We are extremely flexible and open to ideas on helping pay for the tent we purchased last year. You can see a photo of the tent on our website. I can make you a great deal :-)

Thanks!

Although I have no idea about the cost, I attended an event recently at the Hedrick House in Lewisville. I think that the City of Lewisville owns it and it is available for rent. It was lovely and in a neighborhood....nice feel. Also in south Denton (actually Corinth) is Grand Traditions and they have different rooms available. Sorry that I don't know about costs for either but I've been in both and think they could work well for you. Congratulations!

You might try the Woman's Club Building on Oakland Street...shares the parking lot with the main Library. The phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck and congratulations!!
