Hello. My daughter is starting Kindergarten next year and we are facing the tough decision of where to send her. We have narrowed our choices down to four schools. I realize some of them are lotteries to get in, but I would truly appreciate any feedback on any one of them: Lake Myrtle Elementary, LOL, Imagine, LOL, Learning Gate, Lutz, and Corpus Cristi Catholic School in Tampa.
If any moms out there have children in any of these schools I would love to hear your honest opinions on them.

Hi D., my daughter is currently in 1st grade at Lake Myrtle and she really likes it. For kindergarden she had Ms. Haun and she still works hard in her ist grade class so she can be rewarded with helping out Ms. Haun and the kindergardeners. The teachers really work with the kids and parents to find any balance needed. Hope it helps and feel free to message me with any questions...
My daughter is at Lake Myrtle this year in Kindergarten. The principal and asst principal at the school are wonderful! I am very happy with Lake Myrtle and what goes on at the school.
I have 4 friends who have their children at Imagine and they are pretty happy there. The only "bump" so far at Imagine is that if your child is gifted or has learning disabilities, they do not have the resources like the regular elementary schools do.

Hi! My son has been at Learning Gate for the past six years and we love it! It is the small, intimate feeling of a private school without the huge tuition! The kids do wear uniforms, which I think just simplifies things. They go on lots of nature-related field trips and all help out in the organic garden. My daughter isn't in school yet (she is only 2).
I live near lake myrtle & have done the great amerian teach in. I haven't heard any complaints. but it is a public school.
Learning Gate. I have a friend who sent her son there. Very enviromentally oriented (which I am OK with but my husb. is not). Have heard good things. My friend son just graduated from there & is now in High school- he is now tired of the environment!! I heard him say it.
If you are considering Corpus Cristi as an option you might want to consider Most Holey Redeemer. Not sure of where you live, but they are located at Florida and Linbaugh. This is where my son will be attending for Kindergarten. I chose MHR over CC because I hear that they don't like too much parent envolvement (probably not the right way to say it). I have a girlfriend whose son started Pre-k there and she is considering moving him to MHR because she feels that they are too strict on not letting the parents be involved. For example, she can't go and eat lunch with him or sit in on story tmie. Those are just a few examples. She too is an Occupational Therapist!
Either way, I hear that both are very good schools, but two totally different approaches to teaching and curiculum (sp). Good luck - it is a hard decision to make!!!
