I love to read those heart-warming, easy-to-read,(sappy) holiday books around this time of year. The kind that make you tear-up and that you can get through in a few sittings. I just finished The Christmas Jars and enjoyed it.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Happy Holidays!

Great question, I too love these types of stories.....
I agree with The Christmas Shoes and The Christmas Blessing By Donna VanLiere, there are also 2 books after the Christmas Blessing that is a continuation of the story, they are The Christmas Promise and The Christmas Hope. What abeautiful story, keep tissues very close.
I am now reading The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck.

Thomas Kinkade (yes, the painter) actually wrote a whole series of Christmas books about the people of a little town whose lives intertwine and continue on from book to book. They aren't really tear-jerker stories, but I have enjoyed them all and they helped get me into the spirit of Christmas. There are 10 books in all and the first one is called "Cape Light".

I just read "The Christmas Shoes" and "The Christmas Blessing" (The Christmas Blessing is a continuation of The Christmas Shoes)and they were wonderful. I read one a night and loved them. I don't tear up easy and they had me crying.

I hope this book is still in print, and I have no idea who the author is It was called either"
The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever or
THe Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

My kids are grown and it still remains their most favorite memory of Christmas. As they got older we would tak turns reading the chapters. It is well written and you will love it. I hope you can still get it.

Hi,
I LOVE to read!!! Some of my favorite Christmas books are written by Debbie Macomber. Mrs. Miracle, then there are a couple with 3 angels they will make you laugh and tear up. I don't know how much time you have to read but they are a little bigger than a couple of sittings, but well worth it. Happy Reading!
