This may sound funny, but the "Rocky" soundtrack is awesome to work out too! Really pumps you! Eye of the tiger, Theres no easy way out etc. GREAT workout music!!!!
The most common New Year's resolution :)
I am looking for suggestions for motivating work out music. What do you mamas have on your ipod?
I have to admit that when it comes to work out music I have the tastes of a tween... um, 'Party in the USA' anyone? But feel like I need some fresh suggestions!
TIA & Happy New Year!

Just Dance (From Napoleon Dynamite)
Been Caught Stealing

Freedom '90 (George Michael)
Groove is in the Heart

Yikes! I have to work out. Thanks for motivating me. LOL.
Peace.
It's not the style of music, really - it's the beat! Anything with a good beat that will keep you moving briskly is good workout music. I tend toward classical music myself and I find plenty of selections. Try different genres - even children's songs - and mix 'em up, and you might have a lot of fun.
hmmm...when I HAD an ipod (before someone stole it at the gym! grrr) I had a great mix of music.
I LOVED having old school Micheal Jackson (Billy Jean, Smooth Criminal ect)
Loved old school Madonna!
Black Eyed Peas, Kesha, and then....LOTS of spanish music. I love Raggeaton, Salsa, Cumbias...they always got my butt working out, hard. They seem to be a bit faster, so that got me moving faster on the treadmill and eliptical.
As soon as my baby is born (WED!) I am getting back into the workout routine as well. This 80lb weight gain was NOT good for my 100lb weight loss! :(

My friend and I were just laughing yesterday as we dowloaded songs from the mid-90's like C&C Music Factory to our ipods for working out. :)
I love party in the usa! Black eyed peas, Kesha, ting rings, B.O.B., outkast, eminem, 80s music, cee-lo, disco music, Janet Jackson, taio Cruz, far east movement, and snap! HTH :)
Well, I grew up in 70's/80's, but love to jam to Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits! lol
