Hello, I've gotten such great responses to my recent questions that I thought I'd throw this one out there.

We will be travling to CA soon and we have a day or two that we don't have activities planned for yet. We will be going to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, we are traveling to San Diego to see a Padres game, and we will definately be visiting the beach. We will be staying in Anahiem, do you have suggestions for a family vacation? My boys are 12 and 9.

Thank you for your help.

What can I do next?

My kids LOVED the Aquarium of the Pacific http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/ they also had an absolute blast at the Discovery Science Center http://www.discoverycube.org/ and the other thing we did was eat at Medieval Times http://www.medievaltimes.com/ Make sure you get tix in advance for the show as they can sell out quick during peak times of the year.

Enjoy your trip!

The boys would love to go to a water park. Wild Rivers in Irvine is really fun. There is also Soak City at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. I've never been to that one, but I hear it's good.

If you want to see another baseball game, the Angels play very close to Disneyland.

Sometimes, having an unplanned day to just hang out by the hotel pool is also nice so everyone can just relax.

Depending on when you are here, the Orange County Fair might be open (mid-July through mid-August): http://www.ocfair.com/2011/

Have fun!

There is a zoo in Los Angeles and a zoo in San Diego, along with Sea World. Those might be fun for the boys!

Ah Heather has some awesome tips... Medieval Times is so fun for kids! I went a lot when I was little. Knott's Berry Farm is right around there too, which is another Amusement Park for kids.

If you want another Amusement Park you can go to Knott's Berry Farm. It isn't as pricey as Disneyland & usually not as crowded as Disney is. While in San Diego, you should go to the San Diego Zoo and or Wildlife Park. They are the best places to see animals. The Anaheim Angels may have a game while you are in town so you might see who they are playing. One other place that I noticed last time I was there, there is a Farrell's Ice Cream parlor. It is in a Mall near Mission Viejo. It is a place that some of us 30 and older folk remember from our childhood. It has one dish that has like 40 scoops of ice cream in it. It was also a fun place to go. I have not been to this one yet, but plan on going next time I am down south.
