Hey Moms,

My yearly exam is due soon and I would like to find another doctor. I do not feel the one I am going to presently is the right one for me. I live off of 1431 and Parmer Lane and would like to find one close to this area. If any of you have a doctor that takes time with you and really listens to you, would you please pass his/her name along. I really prefer to see a female gyn.

Thanks in advance for your responses,
D. C.

Dr. Jennifer Meadows. She's right next to Cedar Park Hospital and is fabulous! Really takes her time and is nice to her non-baby patients.

Dr. Lisa Savage on Far West Boulevard in Austin. She is wonderful, patient and spends as much time as is needed.

Dr. Meadows has proven to be unprofessional in both her professional and business dealings with us. We are expecting our second child and had a wonderful OB for our first delivery. Dr. Meadows has made us wait up to two hours for a scheduled appointment while patients who were not scheduled got straight in. It is very frustrating to get into the office for a five minute visit at three o'clock and be the last one out of the office while she deals with other things. In addition, the afterhours number she gives forwards to a clinic. And when I was 33 weeks pregnant and too late to find another doctor she made me sign a paper saying there was an additional $50 fee that insurance would not pay for her to fill out two short forms. One for my maternity leave and another for disability, both standard forms that are required by my job and both short enough that my last doctor filled them out in one minute while I waited. Unprofessional is an understatement.

I highly recommend Melanie Hendricks Pagette. She is located right behind St. Davids on 620/Wyoming Springs. Her phone ###-###-####. The staff is awesome and she is really open, non-judgemental and never seems like she's in a hurry to get out! I just went thru my first pregnancy with her (i'll be 40 in Oct.) and she never made me feel stupid with silly questions I had. She and her staff is WONDERFUL! She is the only one of her practice, and her on-call group is all female as well. (at the hospital for deliveries)

I also recommend Dr. Jennifer Meadows!! She delivered my son last September and I honestly could not have asked for a better doctor. Every time I went in for one of my appointments it was like going to visit a girlfriend. She never rushed me out of the office and always took lots of time to answer any and all of my questions. She also was very good about call backs and answering questions by email. Her number is ###-###-####.

Hey, I also live right there. I moved here about 2 years ago and really think I have found a great doc/gyn office. It is http://www.obgynnorth.com/. They are right there behind the hospital near Mopac and Parmer. My doc is Sebestyen and she uses midwives and I have always felt great every time I go. One of the best things is how wonderful they are to my 3-yr old when she comes to my OB appointments with me.
Good luck.
