They sell them at beauty supply places like Sallys Beauty. Okay they are a cheaper version but still work the same way.
You know those big hair dryer thingys you stick your whole head under at the hair cut place?
What can I do at home comparable to drying my hair like that? I need to dry my hair when it's wet all pinned up in curls.
THANKS!! :)

It may be 'old fashioned'...but it works for me!! I have a 'curler cap'...(OK...like an old granny cap made from mesh...shaped like a shower cap). I let my hair get semi dry after a wash...I rub spray gel through it...put curlers in...cap on...and sleep on it...
Yeah...I know...not so romantic...but pete laughs about it! lol
I have VERY straight shoulder length hair...and this will hold the curl...
Fool with it!
Best luck!

1. Dry your hair (until it feels "damp" but not completely dry.) holding your head upside down to give you lift at the roots - use moose/root lift
2. Put your curlers in and carefully wrap your head in a shower cap and let it dry naturally. (The heat from your head will cause the curlers to set and the steam from the damp hair will also help to set the curls nicely until it gets completely dry)
3. Get dressed put makeup on etc.. by the time you are all said and done your hair will be dry and curly. Test one strand before taking it all out.. you can boost this by blowing on the shower cap with your normal hair dryer.
You could also use those heated rollers and put on your shower cap. It will dry faster.
Spray and style as normal.
Good luck
Ask some of the older ladies in your life if they have such a contraption. My mom has one; it's like a little travel case. When you open up the case, there's a big plastic cap that goes over the hairdo. There's a hose that connects from the case to the cap. You flip a switch and the heater/motor thing comes on and the cap fills with air. Hot and noisy!! Anyway, ask your mom, mother-in-law to be, etc. if they have one tucked away in a closet somewhere. You might be surprised.
aaww what a memory flash back. I had a sunbeam hair dryer like this when I was a teen..(o:
They sell an attachment for your hairdryer. Here's a link: http://www.bing.com/shopping/conairpro-soft-bonnett-hair-...
I see them all the time at garage sales and stuff. I actually have 2. One is broken on the part that holds the hood. I have our girl sit under it when she has a desire for curls and we roll her hair up wet then she sits under the hood for several hours. She always falls asleep. It's funny to get a picture of her face planted against the hood insides and her drooling. Each person who uses it in my house is a different height too. We set the base of the dryer on anything from huge city phone books to the whole set of Harry Potter books. Then we sit in a comfortable table chair and kick our feet up, get a book to read or just take a nap. Getting it the right height is sometimes a challenge but still worth it.
You can also buy them new at hair supply places like Sally's or Beauty Co. If you know anyone who has a hair license they can get them at their cost too.

Googled them, Walmart has them very reasonably in the site to site.

Not a weird question. I have had many bonnet hair dryers and I think I found the one I like the most.
I have a great one...Pibbs Kwik Dri Dryer with Caster Base 514. It will cost you, but it is a great buy and the first and last you will ever need, especially if you are looking for a serious investment for a product you will use many times. Go online to comparison shop for prices. The one I have is the one I am suggesting but any Pibbs brand I believe is good.
The problem with many of the hard dryers on the market is that they are awkard (the ones that you place on the table are, but the standing ones are easier), often too hot (with hot spots that can singe the hair), or often are too loud for comfort. The Pibbs is relatively quiet and has adjustable settings from very hot to nice and cool.
Alternatively, you can try a soft bonnet hair dryer that you attach to your blow dryer, but I don't recommend becuase they have the the same problems as the sit-on-the-table types, except they are even more awkward to use.
