I have also had two csections and the second healed much slower than the first- about two weeks in I noticed a little bubble that was bleeding- only a tiny amount. I couldn't tell if it was scar tissue or if there was an opening. I put bacitracin on it and put guaze over it and a big/tight bandaid and didn't look at it for a couple days. This same spot bothered me for about another three weeks but there was never much blood so I just kept treating it and changing the band aid and eventually it healed- when it was getting better it did look like a little scar tissue had grown out from the scar. Now, six months post partum, the scar is fine

This is very odd. Do you mean outer or inner stitches?
The outer stitches, or in many cases staples, should have been removed before you went home.
You should have gone home with steri-strips in place, no big deal if those peel or rip.
Call your doctor to discuss this!

I have had 2 sections & never a problem. I had staples both times & before i went home they were removed. They put a sticky gel over the site with butterfly bandages.

Hi K. - I have had 2 c-sections and never had that happen... if you are afraid that the stitches are not holding or there was some tearing near them, call your dr. and make sure you get in to be seen. You don't want to risk infection. It could be that your incision area needs to be cleaned out a little - I have known a few people who went through this and everything was fine. If your incision is oozing anything or seems wet and not healing, call your dr.!! Good luck - I'm sure you will be fine.

Hey Katie,
I just had my 2nd baby on feb 17th by repeat c section. on day 4 my incision opened up/ dehised. I ened back in the hospital with an infection and packing the wound everyday, it healed a week and a half ago. The left side opened up all the way down to my abd muscles and tunneled 17cm to my hip.
It has been a very hard recovery and frustrating on too so I can related with you.
I really dont know how I did it with 2 kids and going to the wells wound clinic every day for 12 weeks, it sucked but you just have to roll with the punches.
Did your incision have to be packed? infected? how much did it tear?
Jenn

Nope, never had Csection but did fall and tear open an appendectomy incision.
Can stitches tear through now? Or are they simply resorbing, falling apart?
Think I would check with Doc on this were I you just to make sure everything is good.
Best wishes and God bless

I've had one c-section and about 12 days after it reopened on its own (lot of clear fluid leaking). My dr. said that the outside healed faster than the inside, so she reopened it a little more (don't know more specifics as my eyes were shut the whole time!), packed it and put me on an antibiotic to make sure it didn't get infected. I had a visiting nurse come to the house every day to change the packing for 2 weeks. But after she did that it felt much much better.

I had my child a 32 and had ac-section. about a week after the c-section I started leaking clear fluids. My Dr. said that the outside sitches had healed but that it had not come together on the inside. I had to go back into the hospital and have my c-section opened back up. I then for the next sveral weeks had to have a visiting nurse come twice a day to pack my womb until it healed on it's own. I still have discomfort in the area that was not healing properly.
