This is a diet drug that used to be prescription only and was failing because of the terrible side effects and small success. So the FDA approved it for over the counter use (I wonder who pocketed the money on that deal?). Apparently the results of the drug are no different/only slightly different than the results you would get if you just ate right and exercised. And if you slip up when you are just eating right, at least your stomach doesn't freak out and want to explode on you like it would if you took this pill. I haven't tried it because I read so many reports that this is almost like a money-making scheme for the manufacturer with the government's help. They assume that you will spend a certain amount of money by sticking with it for 3 months, even if it is painful, before abandoning it (and people do end up losing weight because they are watching what they eat and following a reasonable diet and exercise plan so it appears to them that the drug is working-when the diet without the drug would do just as well for them). and so many people will try it for 3 months that they make tons of money, even though the drug is useless basically. I suggest you just do a diet that works for you and work out like you have been doing and eventually the weight will come off. It takes up to 2 years for some people to get the weight off, even if trying hard. I can attest to this. I work out and eat right all the time and I still have trouble, but then eventually I start to lose a little, then some more, then some more. It just takes time and perseverance. This has happened to me after having both my kids. I have been working out now and eating right for about a year and finally the weight is dropping off. frustrating, I know. but I think it is a hormone thing for some moms. Good luck! I know how annoying it can be! But drug free is the best way to be...
