Has Anyone Used Avent Isis IQ Duo Breastpump?

I was wondering if anyone has used the Avent Isis IQ duo electric breastpump and how you liked it. With my first I used the Ameda Purely Yours and it worked fine; however, I could get more milk with the manual Avent when I had time (not practical for work). I think it was the design of the Avent pump that allowed me to pump more. I'm considering getting the IQ duo this time around (November baby) but am looking for feedback/opinions from those who have used it before I invest the $$. Thanks!

What can I do next?

The Medela Pump in Style is the only way to go unless great improvements have been made in Avent in the last year or two.

Sorry I can't help with the pump; I used the Medela Pump in Style with my boys. BUT, I use AVENT bottles and while I love them, I just read an article that they are made out of plactic that contains high levels of chemicals that leach into Baby's milk/formula. I guess it's worse if you heat the bottles often (like in the micro or dishwasher). I didn't want to get rid of all my bottles with only 6 months to go, so now I heat water in a glass measuring cup, and pour into the bottles. Just thought I'd pass that on!

I have not used the new Avent, but I did the same as you with my son (now 3 1/2). I purchased the Ameda Purely Yours after reading many reviews comparing it to the Pump in Style, and decided it was definitely the best investment. I just gave it to my sister a week ago and it is still working well for her. I would not waste the extra $100 on the Pump In Style like others have said, all the reviews I found when I was shopping said the Purely Yours was faster and quieter and more people preferred it. I spent a month researching and using a rental pump before making my decision. I ended up learning that the Avent Isis worked much better, and I bought 2 of them so I could do both sides at the same time. It actually was faster and easier than the Purely yours. The reason I tried it was because someone else at work was usually pumping the same time as me and that was what she used, and she would come in after me and be done before me with much more milk than me. I think the big difference is that the Avent massages, which helps the milk let down. If the new Duo one has that (I have not looked into them in a long time so don't know what is out now), I would definitely go for it. If it has controls, start fast with little suction to get the milk to let down, and and then slow down and increase suction when it starts flowing- the hospital told me that was the only difference in the Medela Pump In Style Advance- and it is a lot more expensive. I am find with doing that on my own with the Ameda or the hand Avent Isis pumps, over spending that amount of money. Go to different websites that sell everything you are looking at and compare the reviews, and then consider that along with the cost difference and decide from that. Don't just look at the scores people gave, read their review. The Ameda had much better reviews than the Pump In Style when I bought it, by people who had used both. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just test all of them and buy whatever works best for you???

My sister-in-law got an Avent pump that did not work for her. She and I both use the Medela pump-in-style model and it is worth its weight in gold! I have used mine for 4 babies now. 3 of them I pumped every day since I worked FT.
