Yes, I recommend the book to everyone! I used it with my 18 month old daughter, who is now almost 6 years old! How time flies! Anyways, It took me around 2 months to really potty train her bt the main thing to keep in mind when doing it is you must do nothing else for a couple of days, that means watching her like a hawk! Litereally because you have to see them going in thier pants and run them to the potty. also the main the the book tells you is you the cloth training pants. Dont use pull ups or a diaper because then they don't see the mess they make in those. Anyways, good luck!

I have a good friend who read the book and it didn't work. Her son was 2 1/2 when she tried. Her doctor recomended it saying it worked for one of his children but not the other. In my opinion, a lot of these books are great, when your child is ready. It's determining when they are ready that's hard. Some kids are ready at 2 and others at 4. Believe me, I have very dear friends who tried every book and method and couldn't get their kids to use the bathroom until they were "just ready" at four.
Hang in there. Give the book a try, it's not going to hurt anything and if it does work, GREAT!

I used the book "potty trainin in less than a day", i found it at the supermarket in Rhode Island.
It didnt work in a day for me, it took more like a month or so for my son to grasp the concept and he was potty trained befrore he was 2 yrs old.
I highly recommend getting the doll that wets.. it helps the child by teaching the child to teach the baby doll to pee in the toilet... if that makes sense

I honestly didn't try the book but what i did and other moms i know is that for one week, I stayed home and about every 15-20 minutes ask them if they have to go potty and keep perstering them until they get annoyed and then they will start thinking about it more and realize to go. I did this with my son and he got it after that. Hope this helps

I have not read that book but in regards to potty training, what I did was sit my daughter on the toilet every hour for 5 minutes and in one month she was completely potty trained and it took approximately another month to potty train her at night with me getting up in the middle of the night to sit her on the potty. It's very tiring but the rewards are great. I wish you the best.

I swear by an amazing DVD called "Potty Power" which I used with my last two kids (boy/girl) - it's awesome - and the kids love to watch it. It encourages them to be big kids and models making choices, blended with musis, fun, interaction, etc!! Go to this link: http://astore.amazon.com/motherandbabe0c-20/002-###-###-#...

and you'll see it on this Mom's Picks! page ;)

Best of luck!

No book use, but being a mother of 2 boys now 12 and 9. My luck with childcare working and my own bys is patience. My oldest, I thought I had to do everything and now. Still potty trained by 3. Younger son, I waited and didn't stress it. He was done at 2. Much more calmer situation. I let them decide. The children. Not me or anyone else.
