I have not tried the products from Target since I have been using Melaleuca products for many years. Anytime you can use something earth friendly instead of the chemicals we are flooded with, I think that is great.
I recently bought this new cleanser "Method" It's earth friendly. I was wondering has anyone else tried this product? And what do you think about it? Is it worth it to trade my old cleansers to?
Thank you so much for all your imput. I have heard only good this about this product. I know I'm switching. Thank you again so much.

I've tried the Pink Grapefruit All Purpose Cleaner. It cleans well except for caked on grease or like ice cream/sauce stain stuck to the counter (but it could depend on your type of counter, ours is the laminate). We've also tried the French Lavendar Floor cleaner but to me it's not good for really dirty floors. You still have to scrub it. I've never tried the shower/bathroom cleaners. I think it works great if you are the type that likes to clean every week. We try to clean at least 2x/month. Sometimes we don't clean the floor like once a month, but counter cleaning is practically every day or every spill of some sort. None of them are anti-bacterial either.
Earth friendly of any product is really that it smells better than bleach that's for sure. But still need to be put far up high with any kids.
I like best is Lysol All Purpose Antibacterial Grease Cleaner..the Yellow Liquid sprayer. It works great every surface including floors too. That reminds me I need to buy refill.
Hi T.,
I have only used the hand soap and the spray cleaner and I love it. My favorite is the lavender scent. I still keep a bottle of Lysol kitchen cleaner handy for stuff like cleaning up after cutting raw chicken but I use Method more.
Where can you buy this brand?
Yes, I have tried the Method products, and I love them! I found some at Big Lots for even less money. They smell great with natural fruit extracts. Another good line is Seventh Generation which you can get at places like Sunflower Market, Trader Joes and Wild Oats. Or, Shaklee also carries really great products: http://shaklee.com/
I think switching to natural cleaners is DEFINITELY worth it. There are so many chemicals in our environment, in our homes, and around our families...not to mention what it does to earth in general. Leaving a healthy planet for our kids to enjoy, and setting an example of living healthy/natural for them, is something we should all strive to do.
Good luck!
I absolutely love it. I use the grapefruit in my kitchen and the eucalyptus in my bathroom. I really love the bathroom wipes also. I personally think that these cleansers are better than my old ones. FYI for those who don't know Method is not the Target generic brand. Most people I talk to thought it was. I actually tried the brand because it was recommended on a household cleaning website, among other cleansers. I was looking for something that was more professional strength. I have 3 kids, and they can make quite a mess!
I love the peppermint vanilla that you can get around christmas. It is great!!!
Hi! I use the method products and really like them. I also bought their washable rag for the wood stuff. Clean and help the env. Sounds good to me. :) Hope you stick w/it.
I have used it around the house for a year. I love it. I use the spray (grapefruit or lavender) on my kitchen counters and bathroom counters. I also have the leather wipes for our couches. The dish soap is good too.
T.,
I have not yet tried Method, although I hear it is good. I do use Seventh Generation and "Get Clean" from Shaklee (www.shaklee.com). Both work so well that I have gotten rid of all my 'regular' cleaners and replaced them with these. I had always thought that natural cleaners couldn't live up the the harsh chemical ones, but some of the products are actually better! I feel safer using these around my toddler. My hands are not dry and cracked after cleaning and there are no fumes from them. I would completely recommend that everyone look in to natural cleaning products. Do some research on the ingredients in other cleaners, the natural ones are better for our families and the earth. Also, many are hydrogen peroxide based rather than petroleum based, that will help us reduce our dependence on petroleum products.

P.S. Sorry, I just read through and my post is similar to Colleens. I second what she says! My husband's mother sold Shaklee products for years and they really do make quality products, and their new line of cleaners is wonderful. The best part is that they are concentrated and will last forever and cost less than buying a bottle of prepared cleaner at a time. No, I don't sell Shaklee, but I probably should!
i have not heard of this cleaner but would like to know how people respond to it. if you wouldn't mind sharing with me. i am also a stay a home mom with a 2.5 yo and a 9 month old. :)
I love the Method stuff from Target! My mom bought it for me and now I hooked! I would always complain on how other cleaners smell like chemicals and would take forever for the smell to go away. The method cleaner cleans well and the scents aren't overbearing. Besieds you can pick which scent you like best. I'm not scared to use it around my daughter, like I am with the others. It's defiantly a great buy!!
I haven't tried the Method products, but I did have another suggestion for you. If you want a cleaning product that is environmentally friendly, safe to use around kids, pets and food, and that is cheap, try using vinegar. Mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water in a spray bottle. It is safe to use on all surfaces and doesn't leave a smell afterward as I thought it might. It may not smell as good as the fragranced cleaners while you're using it, but it goes away. What I like also is that you don't have to worry if it gets on kids toys, cups, fruit on the counter, anything because it is safe to consume.
Anyways, I just thought I would share that. Good luck and its nice to see more people using earth and people friendly cleaning products instead of chemicals.

Hi T.-
I use all the Method cleaners and I love them! They clean extremely well and they are people, baby, and earth friendly. I have friends that use it as well and they love it too. I find that they actually seem to clean better than some of the leading brands. I would definitely recommend it!
