call a broker in your area. that will save you time because you tell them what you want and they do the shopping around for you.

I can't really answer your question specifically in Ohio, but I am in Washington and in the same situantion as you are.

Instead of trying to figure the ins and outs of insurance, I am working with an insurance broker whose job it is to know this stuff. I don't know it works in Ohio, but here in Washington, insurance brokers work for free for the clients and are paid directly by the insurance company one he signs someone up for a policy.

You migh want to check it out. I found mind mine by word of mouth, but you can probably fine someone in the phonedbook. Good luck!

Oh, my gosh...$180 is a great deal. Are you sure it covers maternity? I have an Anthem plan...no vision or dental. It's over $500 with a $2500 deductible! I'm very frustrated. It's ridiculous!

Look carefully at their evaluation requirements. I suspect that for $180 a month (never heard of a plan that cheap!), you'll have to go through a medical review first. Those reviews can be tough to pass. If you've gone to the doctor recently, ever had any medical issues, have smoked at any time in your life, expect to be rejected. They look for people who have basically never gone to the doctor, never get so much as a sniffle.

I've been through the process before and wish someone had warned me about the medical review. Thought we were a piece of cake/easy sign up and we got rejected.
