I highly recommend Greg Hammons with Southwest Health and Life. His number is ###-###-#### and his email is ____@____.com will sit down with you and determine exactly what kind of coverage you need, what is important to you and then he will find the right policy for you. He doesn't represent just one company and he is very knowledgeable about all the policies out there. So many times we think we are covered only to find out later that we were only covered to a certain point. He also has helped alot of people lower their insurance payments. Please let Greg know that I refered you.

I market a discount health and dental plan and would be glad to send you some information. Or you could go to my website to view information about us. I can certainly help you with your decisions and save you some money. My website is www.debbiekinder.net

Let me correct some information here regarding AmeriPlan. The prescription plan, which also covers discounts on Dental, vision and chiropractic is only $14.95/mo for an individual and $19.95/mo for an entire household (related or not). It is not $39.95 as mentioned earlier, unless you chose to have the health plan along with the Dental plan, which you don't need if all you are looking for is savings on prescription drugs. You can get up to 80% off routine meds, obtained by mail order. I use it and love it. Saves me a lot of money. www.DNShealth.net or ###-###-####.

You can also go directly through most insurance companies without an agent. As an agent myself, I personally recommend Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have found they have the best plans for the best price. All you have to do is go to their websites and find the link for getting a quote. Good luck!!

Hi R.,

My husband and his brother own an insurance agency, and they would be able to quote that out for you. They have several different companies they write through, so they can look around for the best quote. They are located on 377, so it is close to you. Just let me know if you would like more information!

Thanks!

Ameriplan is a health benefit plan not an insurance. You receive the benefits up front. It's 39.95 a month for an entire family or anyone living in the house. It also covers pharmacy, dental, and chiropractic care. Give Nancy a call at ###-###-#### and tell her Theresa sent you. Good luck!

I am self employed and I just purchased a great plan from Mega life and health Insurance - part of PHCS. My agent is Rick. His number is ###-###-####. This insurance company SPECIALIZES in small business/self employed people. They will group you with other self employed individuals so you get good rates. My plan has office visits with a $20 co-pay, hospitalization with a $2,000 deductible but then the rest is covered. I have a prescription plan that is good plus vision. I'm 52, overweight and on a couple of medications so my rates could be lower if not for those items. I pay $612/month for myself and 2 children. I consider that pretty good.
I did not have to change doctors for my OBGYN or my family health doctor (Family Health Associates in Arlington).

R., we use Unicare. We paid a bit more and got unlimited visits as I have three kids. They have several different plans from which to choose. We did have a "discount" insurance plan for a year. The problem with it was that we only got 10 visits for the entire family for the whole year. Otherwise, I thought it was fairly affordable. It was through a group called Healthcare Cost Containment Association. Good luck!

We are self employeed too and have an "HSA" - Health Savings Account through Blue Cross Blue Shield that I have been VERY pleased with so far.

Basically, you pay a premium for the basic coverage...but then you can add to it as a savings account for anything healthcare related (eyes, dental, etc...even OTC meds). Or, you don't have to add to the account and you have the basic coverage you select.

At the end of the year, there are tax advantages to what you contributed. You are responsible for keeping up with the reciepts for the end-of-the-year.

It can get a little complicated at first, but you may want to ask someone about the HSA policy.

Good luck!

I have an HSA plan that I found through an awesome insurance agent. His name is Steve Neuner. He is with Alkali Services. You can call him at ###-###-#### or email him at ____@____.com. Steve is a great guy. He really explains plans to you and makes sure that you understand your plan. Just tell him you got his name from D. Hamilton. (I don't get anything but he might want to know how you got his name :)). Good luck!

I represent a Health Benefits Program that is has both, Dental and Health Benefits combined for $39.95 a mo. for the entire household whether related or not. It is NOT Insurance, it is fee for service. However, you will save up to 80% off with our programs. If you just need Dental, it is Dental, Vision, RX, and Chiropractice for $19.95. Please visit my website and if you have any questions just give me a call. N. ###-###-####
