Ok ladies bear with me, I'll give my stats first then get into the problem. Ok I'm 22 weeks along with baby #2, I'm 5'7" I weigh 155 now and started at 149 not weight issues or anything like that. Ok now the current problem. I've been having severe pain and pressure in my pelvic and vaginal regions for maybe the past month on and off. I had a bad uti once and they said that was the problem and i was put on antibiotics. Now the symptoms are back.My inner lips are extremely swollen and irritated, there's a thick white discharge and painful lesions/tears on them that bleed. So I'm in extreme pain. I can go from being at a 4/5 to a 10 instantly. When that happens I can barely walk or move. Now I've been to the emergency room and my obgyn since this started with the last time being yesterday. All of my blood work, urine, and pap smears came back normal. No std's or anything and I'm not sure what to do. There's no way there can be nothing wrong when I feel this bad. Any suggestions are appreciated. Oh and by the way no sex since this started back up last Tuesday and then a latex condom was used. Thank you ladies in advance.

Ps* After read a few comments particularly that last one claiming I'm "trolling" I wouldn't be on this site asking for help if I didn't need it. The reason we chose to use condoms is because I felt that I might have a yeast infection. I know that yeast infections can be passed to a man if he's sleeping with a woman with a yeast infection. That's why I hope that clears up a few questions you all may have. I never had a latex allergy before so I never thought twice about it. Please continue to give your advice. Thank you.

Ps* its exasperating having to address answers left by people who don't care to help just so the ones who are being helpful dont get confused. Of you read my post from December says I'm 25 and I'm 13 weeks along. Meaning I'm telling you my age is 25 and was 13weeks along back then. Of you're not going to try to help please don't feel the need to comment. Also for those who care I've gotten more blood and urine cultures done and should get my results by next week sometime.

So What Happened?

Hi ladies! I wanted to up date you on everything. The discharge was from a very bad yeast infection as some of you guessed. The tests they were taking didn't check for that and when they did they gave me a pill (diflucan my spelling is questionable) and in about three days it stopped and haven't had any discharge since. The lesions were from a latex allergy that I didn't know I had so that explained those. 27 weeks as of yesterday and me and her are doing very well. Thank you all for your advice.

Ouch! Did they specifically check for BV? It's a bacterial infection that can affect as many as 1 in 5 pregnant women. I would assume that between the test the ER and your OB did they would think to check for this, but I've had medical professionals overlook dumber things so I would call and ask if they tested and ruled that out.

If it's not that, then it sounds like a nasty yeast infection. Call your doc and ask if it's safe to use OTC yeast infection treatments while pregnant. I'm pretty sure that I had to treat a yeast infection during one of my pregnancies and that the OTC treatment was fine, but be sure to ask first.

Honestly, this sounds a lot like a massive yeast/candida infection. I'm wondering if the antibiotics kicked off the yeast growth?

I'm assuming you used the condom so that you did not pass anything on to your partner, right? Obviously you didn't use it for contraception - people are asking about it but I'm assuming that's your reason. You could have a latex reaction on top of whatever else you have.

Did anyone check you for yeast? Blood tests ruled out other things but that's not how you test for yeast or other fungal infections. I'd call the OB/GYN's office right away and get seen. There are plenty of home remedies for this sort of thing but you are way past that point now. You may need an anti fungal but you need to be careful what you use during pregnancy.

Call your ob/gyn's office and talk to the nurse and tell them the amount of pain you have been in and that you had to go to the ER and they can look at your test results. Have you developed an allergy to the latex condoms? This is the type of allergy that can appear even if you have never had a reaction before. Perhaps they need to do a urine culture to see if there is still an infection looming that is not showing up. Good luck. Hope you feel better.

Can I ask a question? You are already pregnant, why the need for a condom? Unless your partner has an STD you're protecting yourself from you have no need for a condom at this time.
You could have developed a latex allergy. You could have irritation to your system from the antibiotics. If it's external my suggestion is to pick up some diaper cream, like Triple Paste. Wear a panty liner to keep it from getting on things and use it to see if that heals things.

Ouch, that makes me cringe to think about the pain.

Since you are pregnant and you know how your body changes during pregnancy, could you have a latex allergy from the condom if this just started? I would refrain from using the condom when I felt better.

Oh, and why are your using a condom? You are already pregnant?

Good wishes headed your way.

With those symptoms, I have a hard time believing the doctor found nothing.

No one who is pregnant uses a condom, and you said no STD's, which leads me to believe you are a troll. Also, I don't understand why you shared your height and weight with us. That is irrelevant. Another reason for me to believe you are a troll!
