Help - Facebook Account for a Small Group

I do believe fb only lets you have 1 acct to an email address. You might try a different email on your computer and see. Otherwise you are stuck with the one you created, but can go back and edit the name and change it to a name that the "group" would use. You would be in charge as if it was your own, and then set it as private for just them. Then as they find others they can let you know and you can send invites for more friends as the group sees fit. Unless recent changes have made some new deal possible,,thats how I would do it.

I don't know for sure but I created a group of just family. It is a "closed group." I am in another group too. So did you make a page or "create a group?"

Can I assume you have gone into "accounts" and clicked on "help center?" Whenever I need help I do this and you can usually find your answers. If not there try googling your question.

You can't do that because fb only lets you have one personal account. You can use your personal account to set up a fan page, which is what you ended up doing.

If you want to do it, you have to start with a new e-mail address (which isn't hard to do, just get one you don't have like gmail or yahoo or comcast.net, etc.) and then create a new personal page for your group. You're really not supposed to do this for a group, but I seriously doubt fb will ever find out.

I created a group on FB for my book club. When you first click "create group" choose the privacy settings at the bottom of the box that comes up (when you name the group, etc.). You will need to be friends with the people you want in the group and you will need to invite them. Good luck!

You need to do a GROUP...not a page. I belong to a few of these and they are private, by invite (must be accepted by the administrator of the page), and the info is only shown (the posts) to those IN the group. Anyone can start a group.
