I'm not sure if Retin A would help something like that, but as a side effect of using it I no longer have my freckles. It would be worth asking about anyway.
Hi Moms,
I need your help! When I was pregnant with my first child I developed a Pregnancy Mask. I was hoping that after being done having children that my hormones would calm down and with constantly applying sun screen and staying out of the sun, and I'd be one of the lucky ones where it went away on it's own. Not so much! It's still there and is on my upper lip and nose. So, I look like I have a chocolate milk mustache! Is there any one out there who had success getting rid of their pregnancy mask? I did go to a dermatologist, but he didn't seem to know too much about it, and I was rather disappointed. If any one out there has a product that they used or can lead me to a dermatologist in the Oswego area that could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I went to a salon and tried laser treatment and my skin was a little red right after the treatment but it did work after about 5 treatments. The next year, it came back after I was in the sun for a short time. I went to my dermatologist and she recommended Tri-Luma which I use on a regular basis in the summer time but it seems to work. Good luck.

You need to go to a different dermatologist. I had the same problem. It started before I was pregnant with my son - it was caused by birth control pills. After my son was born I went to Dr. Ruth Barsky in Oak Brook because it was driving me crazy trying to cover up the dark patch on my forehead. She gave me a cream called Tri-Luma to apply to the darkened areas. She also recommended micro dermabration, but I didn't do that. The cream worked for me. It lightens the area that is darker. I am not a huge fan of Dr. Barsky. I felt like she really didn't spend a lot of time with me because she had SO many people to see, but what she recommended did the trick.
I don't have a problem with this anymore. After having my second child I had my tubes tied and it seems that since I don't take birth control pills anymore, the problem is gone.
